Discussion for Wellness Diary

Fri, 2009-06-05 13:40 ToucheTurtle: Can the developers acknowledge the Sports Tracker Bug!!!!!!

Could the Developers acknowledge on one of the posts regarding the Bug related to the new sports tracker file ( bug will not allow Wellness diary to open at all) that they are aware and developing a patch/new version to deal with this.

I am aware of the work around of going back to the older versions of WD but this has basically made all the gains in the new version obsolete for those who wish to incorporate the sports tracker data.

I know its in development etc, and that develpoers are busy etc - but the product is in Beta for a reason to test how it works and if it meets what people want. At the moment it doesn't work so the feedback about the product that they do want is replaced by the negative feedback about the problems.

I know they cant read and reply to all posts but i'm sure that a short post or sticky about large identified problems could be added periodically

Just to clarify - love the product - want to use it and assist in its development - don't love silence! ;-)

Fri, 2009-06-05 21:45 ToucheTurtle: Thanks!

Really appreciate the reply - your promptness has really blown my argument out of the water!!!!!

Hopefully you will be able to develop this further and take it to production or even combine sports tracker, wellness diary and the step counter apps into one uber app!!

or at least make it work with sports tracker before archiving it!!

Thanks again

Sat, 2009-06-06 08:00 mbrett: Thanks Tommi

Sounds like a geat idea. Thanks Tommi.

Alos any chance the dev teams could provide some kind of time to next release or something. There is a high degree of frustration in the maps forum due to the slow process of updates.

Kee is getting some of the stick as he inocently suggested the the next release would be in a few days acouple of weeks ago and now everyone is wondering what happened. I don't want him to be put off making these suggestiions in future as we all know that issues occur and delays happen. It would be nice if the teams reported delays and provided updates though. I think I suggested it quite a while back but a sticky at the top of each forum only postable/editable by the dev teams reporting present status would be a god send.

Thanks again

Thu, 2009-06-18 07:51 cryptonium: Possible workaround

I have a little workaround for this problem, simply rename the Sportstracker folder when you want to run Wellness Diary and when you're done rename it back.

It's not elegant and not permanent and somewhat annoying but at least it's a way to continue using both apps without sacreficing one for the other.

The directory I'm renaming is E:\SportsTracker

I usually rename it to E:\SportsTracker2 and Wellness Diary starts up fine.

I hope this is helpful.
