Bugreport for Nokia Audiobooks

Sat, 2009-06-06 07:58 joggs: the converted mp3s clips before the file has ended E71 or pc application

When I have converted an mp3 book that consists of multiple mp3 files, hundred of them, to your nokia audiobook format with your pc application, I pretty often notice when I listen to the book that the player jumps forward several seconds if not minutes in extreme cases because I usually don't understand what the reader talks about when it happens, so I have probably missed alot of information.

I'm not sure if it is the pc application that converts the files wrong, i.e cuts the last minute of the file or if it is the player that skips to the next file too early. My guess is that it is the pc application.

This is ofcourse that annoying that I now manually merge the mp3 files to one single file and then convert it with your pc application to nokia audiobook format, but it is one step too many.

Sun, 2009-06-07 17:49 joggs: Oh, Seems like it cannot handle large files either.

Oh, The audiobook player/manager cannot handle large files either so now it is completely useless.
I first convert the audiobook to one large mp3 file and the converts it with nokia audiobook manager.
The file gets 6,9Mb large and that seems to be it, no matter what book i try to convert.
This results in that the book stops 1,5 hours approx.

So cut off chapters or an 1,5 hours book.

Please fix these issues.

In my N95 8gb I found when the book is large than 10 hours it is difficult to return to the point you were listen, it said "you have finished the book". The same happen some times when you are arriving to the end of the book, if you are listening it, no problem you can ear all, but if you pause and want to continuos it jump and said "you have finished the book". I hope you can fix it because it is a great app.
