Review for Nokia Photo Browser

New functions such as send and order are useful. Double tap zoom works nicely and photo's load pretty quickly - I have around 500 on my device so far.

The only issue is the magnifier - it does not open where you touch and follow your finger. Seems to have a life of its own. (update - seems to work sometimes. but not all the time)

In general its amazing and tbh should be loaded in the firmware from now on its way better that the standard nokia photo browser. Its looks funky too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The magnifier works if you hold your finger on the screen for a second or so. All features seem to work flawlessly on sw 11.0.021 N97 RM505

I am loving this app! I would imagine 2.0 firmware will make things easier with the N97 mini kinetic scrolling, but this app adds an element of fun to image browsing. Well done Beta labs keep up the good work

N97 does not react the way the N95 8gb version does it, so I call it experimental. The speed, the interface, the menu system could do with a bit of enhancement. Not bad, but not too good either.

On the N95 8GB, I used PB all the time. On the N97, its seems like a hassle. Probably got to do with the loading times.

This is the only application that I have successfully used that actually works on my N97, every other application just fails to work.

reinstalled NPB after updating to 1.2 and NPB now works great. I use it all the time as showing photos to friends looks funkier on NPB as opposed to the archaic looking standard photos.

But seriously that theme menu has to go. Even a backgroundless/transparent menu ala realplayer where only the fonts are visible would make NPB look a million times better.in fact nokia should use 100pc transparency everywhere. Especially on web browser.

Would love to see direct sending to nokia communities fb/twitpic/flickr as well.

Mon, 2009-10-12 21:28 habdsl: wirklich gut!

also bitte weiterentwickeln und dranbleiben! sowas sollte definitiv standard werden!

Wed, 2009-10-21 13:45 MSD81: N97 Query

Though the Photo browser works fine for me, it's fast and responsive only issue I have with it is that I can't exit the application. I have to press the menu button to leave it. In my opinion it would be great if there would be some kind of a menu present.

Other than that a great application.

I've looked everywhere for it and can't find it. Any chance you can tell where it is? Thanks.

N97 I did another hard reset and now it works good.
So like now how do I make PB the default global photo browser?

Mon, 2009-11-02 04:39 nrbrhn: Menu

N97 Tap and hold on the black area around the photo and the menu would pop up. Or red click to quick quit.

I still seem to have loading times through mass memory with 40 photos of mixed Mpx.

Thu, 2009-11-05 09:33 nrbrhn: on 2.0

N97 It works faster, and loads well now. I had to force a hard reset due to missing fb & youtube apps amongst others ( which never did reinstalled the apps ), so I have no idea whether the speed burst was caused by the lack of legacies, or 2.0's memory management.

Now I still want PB to be the default photo browsing app, replacing the stock one if possible.

All in all, I can say bravo! Photo browsing never was any more fun than this.
