Bugreport for Nokia Image Exchange

Fri, 2009-06-26 14:51 IMAGINARY.FRIEND: It just keeps sending SMS

e71-1
I Installed it, selected WLAN acces point in settings.

When I try to do anything on the online side of things, I get two options.
Enable and stay offline

First time I pressed Enable, the program exited.

Started again, now as I press Enable, a SMS is sent
Now I get a counter next to the connection icon that goes up to about one hundred. That's it.

I try to look at my Latest pictures, I must again choose Enable or stay Offline. Selecting Enable sends another SMS. Nothing else happens. I go back, and try to look at my latest pictures (to see if the counter meant images were sent). Again, I must choose to either stay online or... I don]t want to try again, send an SMS.

Instead of trying to access the right side of the screen, I chose connect in options, did the same thing as before. Only now I did get a SMS in return.

Hi,

thanks for your report!

It seems that the registration did not complete for you as you did not get any message about a successful registration. Most likely, we are not yet supporting your operator (you can check the support here: http://www.tyntec.com/uploads/media/TynTec_SMS_MO_Finnish_Long_Numbers_l...).

You can check your own images without enabling the online features. Just select "Latest" on the left side of the main menu. On the right side you have the online images, and to access those, you need to create the account.

On behalf of Nokia Image Exchange team,

Elina Vartiainen

Thu, 2009-07-16 13:46 nonyhaha: first of all the link

first of all the link youprovided isn't working.
second... this minor bug just cost me .5 euro. couldn't you just designit to suthorise itself over the internet? instead af a pretty stupid sms?
or this authorisation is done through sms because you are restricting access to the service?
in my case, i live in romania and use vodafone, when i try to install the flickr plugin it just does not appear on new services. both on my n82 and 5800. but when i inserted a sim from another country it appeared. so it wouldn't be that big of a problem to do the sim auth. through internet, without the use of an sms, which costs money.

Hi,

I am sorry about the link, it was changed later on. Here is the new one:

Thanks for the feedback! Currently, we use the SMS in the registration process to automatically detect your phone number and use it as your default account name. Your phone number is also needed so that your friends can easily share images with you by just selecting your name from their phonebook.

On behalf of the Nokia Image Exchange team,

Elina
