Suggestion for Gizmo for S60

Profile picture Retro_Rubix Sat, 2009-01-24 13:11

Needs A Refresh...

Gizmo could be very usefull, but it needs an Update.

Perhaps Sound Notifications for events such as Contacts Online / Offline?
A Neater design would be better, more compact and smooth featuring better, smaller Icons.
And that bug that dosen't let you type while the other persons message is scrolling at the top is a right pain. That could use a fix, if not, remove it.
An auto reconnect feature would also be brilliant for this app.
And Lastley, the ability to Block contacts is a must, you pretty much need it.

This app has very good potential though, and I think people would be happy to see it upgraded.

Hopr this helps you guys.

Potential, no execution

I think this app has tons of potential too, but sadly, the other half of the coin (read: Gizmo) doesn't appear to me to care about it. I used to use Gizmo quite a bit, but their support has become awful, and services dwindling. I love having this enabled at home on a SIM-less phone. Amazing. But, sadly, it just seems to be falling by the wayside.

gizmo

I was using the N82 last time and have credit with Gizmo, Switched over to the 5800, Does the client work with the 5800 or is there a client for it, or am I stuck to the normal PC calls for now till perhaps the N97 comes out?

cheers

Not Working

Guys I downloaded this application on my E71.
The chat application works fine but VoIP or the voice calls do not. The call rings but cannot hear anything of the opposite person.
Could anyone suggest what can be done?

I agree, need an update

I have been using Gizmo for more than a year, it is very well integrated to Nokia phone but the voice quality using slow connection is awful, metallic…Recently I have been using Fring… sound quality is much better…
Nokia most update this great application

@paringala I've seen this

@paringala

I've seen this problem happen in my office - badly configured bad firewall software and a set of really "too-restrictive-for-real-use" firewall rules being the one to blame.

At home, with less restrictions, it's been working flawlessly (though the last time I used it was 1 month ago)
hope that helps
