Discussion for Nokia Step Counter

Mon, 2009-07-06 15:35 Smiffy42: Will the Pedometer work on the N97?

I love this little application opn my N95 but I "upgraded" to the N97 and would like to put this on there. I have tried copying it via PC Suite but no success .

The install goes 90% through and fails at the very end :(

Fri, 2009-08-28 00:32 iivo: it's odd

it's odd nokia dosen't realize when they have a unique app and rappidly develope it for all their devices, both stepcounter and wellness diary are examples of such programs. Just as friendview wich came before googles latitude but guess who getz all the buzz.

Added to post: a month after my original post there are still no lifesign on this project. Which is sad. Wake up wake up.

N97 is the new flagship product. All beta labs programs should work on it. Sort it out or why should i upgrade from my N95?

I have the 5800 and would also love to see more of these older apps that was made for s60v3 to get supported on the newer phone models.
I think thats wital to compete with other (crappy) phones thats just flash and nothing more.

Wed, 2009-08-05 00:50 tim.hanssen: I totaly agree on the last

I totaly agree on the last comments, I upgraded from a N95 to a new N97 and now I can;t use the best applications anymore... Step Counter, Sports tracker NOKIA should update this so we could go on.

Wed, 2009-08-05 08:45 mbrett: @tim.hanssen: Good New (Well sort of)

There are versions of Sport Tacker out there for S60v5 devices like the N97.

You just need to do some Googling.

I have versions 1.83, 2.05 and 2.06 installation files, downloaded from the internet.

The version first released through Nokia and the Sports Tracker website, but were then removed. No noe really knows why, but some of the blog sites around the internet have kept copies available on their sites.
