Discussion for Wellness Diary

What would it take to get an update? Reader action required

Hi, I really need to get this app working again.

Can we discuss how much people would pay for this as an app, maybe Nokia would take us a bit more seriously if they knew we would be willing to pay for this app.

I think Nokia forgets when they have a good thing and dump the users as unimportant, but this is really in need of a bit of direction.

Please help all, tell me what you would pay for it to come alive again, and then lets tell nokia.

Come on users, make a comment here, lets talk about this

You all whinge and complain. Lets get a bit of action happening.

I want to use this app, I have to use my Nokia to do my sport and an iPhone to record it with my stats.

I know Nokia can fix it, what would it take, can I get the source code and do it, can Nokia just pull a finger out.

Lets not forget, we have a voice here, don't just complain, tell Nokia we want this working....

@realiti: We already have a few months ago

We reqeusted that this app be updated when we first identified the fact that the latest version of Wellness Diary is not compatible with the NST v2.x workout files back in february. I admire your heart and would love to have this app compatible with Nokia Sports Tracker latest versions too.

What we do have to remember though is that all of the applications on the Betalabs website are, of course, Beta versions, with no guarantee that they will ever be released as full versions. Some apps are just internal research projects with no intended application release at the end of the project, but just testnig out ideas for partial incorporation into future phone versions for example.

For all we know the Wellness Diary team could have been disbanded at the beginning of the year, prior to the release of Nokia Sports Tracker v2.05 and then v2.06.

Hopefully this is not the case and hopefully the splitting of Sports Tracker will not have a negative effect on the possibility of a Wellness Diary update either.

Fully understand BUT.......

I am saying, as a beta it can go open source if abandoned. Or help someone to develop it. Sell it as a service with NST. A bundle of sports utils would be great, and I would subscribe for a fair fee.

This was a great product, now I have to use my Nokia to exercise and my iPhone to track it. I just want one device, just one to do it all. I track all my vitals as I used to be 145Kgs and now, thanks to technology and the fact I track my self I am down to 101Kgs, and still going strong. I track my Heart so I can see if I need to take my blood pressure pills, and I track my BMI which tells me when I am going too hard and have dehydrated.

Sell me the source so far, I will get it developed and then turn a profit. I just can't believe the only two products that covered my sports requirements can no longer work together...

Please help Nokia, you screwed us over by making me buy the N79 cause you wont support BT HRM on the N95, isn't it time to give us a little after making us all upgrade on your whim.

I am disappointed!

I agree with both of you. The least Nokia can do is to come out and tell us what on earth they are planning to do with Wellness Diary! We have the right to know. Otherwise they are merely using and abusing us to test their ideas. That is how businesses lose customers.

The biggest factor for me to stay with Nokia and not go with iPhone or Windows Mobile were NST, Wellness Diary and Internet Radio. I regret it now.

I am happy to pay for these programs or wait a few months. But the moment I can justify buying another phone, Nokia is off my list. Because I'll have to find alternatives and I don't pay big money to just buy mobile phone. I expect to run software on them.

I'd pay for it

Edward,

I'd happy to pay $20 for Wellness Diary.

Cheers,
