Review for Ovi Contacts

Hi, I've installed this in my 5800 and found the following:

- the search UI is much better in the v5 version than in the v3 one, but it still misses the country and city search fields
- In the v3 version on my n95, I can send my location and voice clips, but the 5800 can only receive those. No option in its menu to send them.
- the v3 version doesn't keep connected / reconnecting either.

in all, I still use it to chat w/ my family when a phone call won't be possible, but it still requires making sure you've not lost connection.

You have to set location sending in your profile page

You have to set location sending in your profile page. Or at least this is the case for the S60v5 version on my N97

but location sending is for broadcasting my location no? in th n95 I was able to at any time, from any place "send my location" or "send voice clip"

It's getting better

The most anoyance thing I've experienced with Ovi Contacts was that you should check if your connections was up..., now It works better.

It still lacks voice clips, picture & file sending, but it's getting better. Finally Nokia has understood the importance on this service and it is noticeable.

There still a few bugs in

There still a few bugs in the new s60v5 version 1.20, but it changed with a LOT! in stabillity from it's predecesor. We're still waiting for file sending and the usefull voice notes (really important, i'm counting with it on the next version).

Another thing about the voice notes: I hope that we could send voice notes too to gtalk buddies on OVI Contact, even if they have the PC version, or the mobile version (in my particular case, Gtalk on Blackberry devices) that would be a big step and a whole new way to comunicate to other handsets and brands.

I hope i'm not demanding too much to the development team hehe. Keep working that way!
