Ovi Maps Beta for S60v3

Hello guys!

I really enjoyed the teasing video of the new upcoming Ovi Maps software and the new features that have been included but how about a version for the compatible non-touch devices like my N82, for example? Will it be released?

If not, then..this is just a suggestion. :-(

While reading this news I

While reading this news I was really happy to see a new version of maps, but then at the end the most disappointing thing of this version: just S60v5. I really hope to see a v3-version for my 6220 classic soon, it is just one year old!

re: A stable version

Stick with Maps 2.x, anything since is far from stable or useable

I would say maps 3.0 (not

I would say maps 3.0 (not this beta) is much more useable as the 2.x...
It has the possibility to sync with ovi, an lane departure warning, speedwarning...

Stability-problems I don't have with both of them.

But I want to test this beta on my 6220 classic!

maps 3.0 can't be the end for 60v3

Hi,

I'm using maps 3.0 since the first beta. I bought a licence with the hope that the software will reach a quality like tomtom or another big one. But with the todays final I'm not very lucky!

1. It's stable, but the routes a sometimes more than incredably bad.

2. Sometimes the GPS signal get lost. If it comes back NM does not recognize that and comes back 2 minutes later.

3. The voice assistance reacts very late and talks much to much. A lot of times I get the command to drive out in the roundabout when I leaved that a long time (5 seconds). I'm from Germany and we do have small roundabouts. And the voice does says more than one times where to drive out. So a lot of commands comes up after I leaved them.

4. Sometimes NM hangs when I drive through some curves. So I'm behind the curve and NM does show my position in the curve.

Another vote here.

I chose my 6220c specifically because it came with Nokia Maps, and I am very happy with 3.0. Please make the new version available for my phone soon.

This beta is for N97 and 5800 (S60 v5)

As wrote in the main page of Ovi maps for mobile, the compatibility is for N97 and 5800 (I think with all S60 v5)
