I receive mails on my phone and i would love my mails sorted by contacts like the way my sms are sorted.
Since the coversation is in the contact application. It would be much better to use one application for organising contacts,sms,email,mms sending and viewing as each coversation is sorted by contacts.
I hope it makes sense

i think it would be a good idea to at least put a icon note or header of emails into conversation, but i think to save memory resources and not to clutter the sms conversation one should leave it at that.
Smith's idea to sort emails by contacts is a good idea for nokia messaging (former nokia email)
