Maps 2.0, totally confused in Boston, MA USA....
I'm using Maps 2.0 (wk 45 b03), I have a 6 month license for the navigation feature. Last night I had a need to actually use the navigation feature (thus far I have just been using it on trips that I already know - mainly to see if it suits my needs so I can decide to pay for it or not). As I was using the system it seemed to get totally lost while I was in the city of Boston (Mass, USA). I was on a street, it had me take a right, a left and another right (in essence got me back on the street I had already been on). Like the map system thought the road ended or was interrupted. I suppose that isn't too bad, except I got a little further up the road and the system thought I went "off road" (which you can't really do in Boston). I was on a fairly well known street in Boston (Kneeland & staurt), and again when it finally figured out where I was it again sent me through a few hoops (like detours).
This doesn't make me feel very comfortable to rely on this system for navigation. Fortunately I live just outside the city, so I do know my way around a little but I think I would have been very frustrated if I was in a city I was not at all familiar with.
I check the GPS status and I had 4 sats locked in, I even enabled the A-GPS option to see if that would help.
Is this the appropriate place to post this or is there another forum or place I can send an email too?
