Wasn´t able to connect to ovi with the previous release, and still cant (newes vers. 18.9). "Nokiaaserver.exe stopped working" (lakkasi toimimasta" in finninsh) is the message i get from my Vista and OVI says that it´s unable to connect.

Sorry - More info

My computer is an acer 2920z (1.6 ghz, 2GB, 250gb) laptop with vista home premium (sp2). My phone is a 5800XM, firmware 31....My problem is that when I try to sign in to my OVI account (from the top right hand corner of the homepage of OVI suite) the program fails to connect, claiming that there is no internet connection available. Translated from Finnish it is roughly as follows: "OVI suite wasn´t able to connect to NOKIA´s account server. Make sure that your internet connection is working properly and try again." At the same time Vista gives me a problem report "banner" saying "nokiaaserver.exe stopped working" . I had the same problem allready with the previous beta version, and unfortunately the problem didn´t disappear with the newest update (18.9.2009). Hope this gives you better capabilities in trying to fix this particular problem - I´m anxiously waiting to become a heavy user of the software once it´s stable enough.

Problem still active

Hi

The above mentioned problem is still active. It´s kind of a big issue - the whole software is pretty much useless (compared to pcsuite that is) without an internet connection. Any solutions???

Are you using 2.0.0.10 release?

Hi tvniemin, just to confirm, are you using the official (not anymore Beta) Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0.0.10 release? If not, could you please upgrade to that release. You can download it from:

Version

Hi
I Just downloaded the 2.0.0.10 version with high hopes, but the problem seems to have "survived".
I noticed that user "hugohalo" has reported the same issue on sat 3.10. It seems the thing we have in common is F-secure virus software. I just tried to turn of my firewall and connect(...stupid, I know..;)), but no luck.

Gettin a bit frustrated here!

I´ve still not once been able to connect to OVI. The problem is as mentioned before: OVI suite claims not to find an internet connection, after which I get an error report "nokiaaserver.exe stopped working".

Unable to sign in

Same as above, not able to sign in (no internet connection).

Using the 2.0.0.10 version, connected to LAN.

This has worked before, maybe a bug in the latest version of the Nokia Ovi Suite?

BTW also stuck with "unable to install MTP drivers. So naturally Nokia music won´t recognize my 5800 XM. And the purpose for this update was....
