URGENT -- [ WHITE SCREEN -- PHONE WONT BOOT ] -- Ovi contacts crashed N97

Hey there,

Hehe the irony, I was just praising ovi contacts yesterday and today I despise it ..

Ovi contacts had caused my phone to stop booting and get stuck at the white screen with NOKIA logo ..
I formatted my phone, and managed to boot it .. Now I wanted to anaylze what went wrong .. I changed the theme and restarted my phone .. it booted OKAY.
Now I installed ovi contacts, made sure it does not sign in when phone is turned on, and restarted the phone.
The N97 refused to boot ... I formatted it again, and now im not sure if I should install it or wait for v20 (with a bit of hope) that it may fix those annoying bugs ??

To confirm that its Ovi Contacts ..

I have installed another application, and restarted my phone ... The phone booted

Im glad that it didnt turn out that the n97 wont accept any more applications :O

I hope a nokia representative can reply and tell me what to do ..
I would be happy to assist at analyzing the problem further.

I have installed another application, Ovi Maps from beta labs ... my phone stopped booting ..

I am forced to format my phone again ...

have not seen this problem before

hav you used ovi contacts on another device before? I've noticed some problems with the settings when going from n95 to n97 this was resolved by setting all to off on the old device including homescreen icon then sign out then install on new phone. Also make sure you have the newest version and the right one for your phone and language.↲I would also try installing with a clean phone to see if there are issues in one of the contacts↲
