Discussion for Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0

Again why?

You got our feedback and yet nothnig was added. The ovi suite 2.0 is to simple and lacks option to be a complete spftware. I feel fooled and tricked for using it and believing that it would make things easier. I can't believe that there isn't a simple back up of messages or contacts to a folder. Is it that hard to implement this feature? What about my messages in nokia photos? What should i do with them if i can't use them? Why can't you add a simple search album cover from internet also? I really don't even want to start talking about photos? You've proven that there can't be a all in one software and that one has to use a variety off apps. I'm just dissapointed that you start this procces over and over again and that i followed it, but i think that this is the last time i did this and that i search for other solutions for my phone.

Because they dont care about user. They are pushed to release totally unfinished software like Ovi Suite.

We designed Nokia Ovi Suite to be simple

Hi milan21884. Thanks for you comment. We absolutely wanted to design Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 to be a product with simplicity, lacking numerous options, settings, preferences and other complex things, so that most of the Nokia device users could get the basics done with it.

Feedback from most consumers and I'm not talking technically advanced users here, has been that our previous desktop software products has been too complex to use, too much features, different kind of UIs, difficult connectivity etc.

This time we wanted to make it right and designed simple, uncluttered UI. This has been target for the design all the time.

Of course, this gives us option to really carefully select, which features we will add in future into product. We don't all the bells and whistles into product, but absolute essentials.

Well, tell me then what

Well, tell me then what happens when my computer crash i need to reinstall os again. What happens to my messages? Is this really such an advance feature to back up those files to a safe place on my computer? Also i can agree that you've listend on the feedback from users cause a lot of them suggested and discussedabout numerous things that haven't been implemented in the final releise. When the project began i relly liked it and beleived that it had a lot of potential and would've recomended to everyone. Now when the project is done, Ovi is so simple that it can satisfy the needs of a normal smartphone user and i wouldn't recomend it to anyone now. Get pc suite, it's by far better.

Well, if you would listen to

Well, if you would listen to users, then u would have done something OVI SUIT taking away too much MEMORY!!!

Nokia M Server and everything, it used up to 330 MB even tho i manually closed OVI SUIT!!! We have been talking about that since the beginning, u u have done nothing. This is of anyone's interest not just advanced users.

I guess ur business users wont be too happy about it to.

And why not adding an advanced menu, to at least give advanced users the possibility?
