Bugreport for Nokia Java Runtime 2.0 for S60

kobi79 Wed, 2009-10-14 18:56

Can't install some apps

Problems with installing some apps. Can't download them via wap-gprs or wi-fi and the message appears:
'Unable to install application. Connection lost'
And then in details:
'Processing attribute 'MIDlet-Jar-Size' failed'

I think it's because of JR 2.0 Beta so I've removed it. But how can I back to the previous, old version? How can I get it?

Can't install some apps

You get the old runtime back automatically after you remove JR 2.0 Beta.

Could you give links to the applications that you were unable to install?

I also thought it should

I also thought it should back automatically.
Fortunately, problem is resolved. By accident. When I've removed JR beta I've also rebooted my phone. It should be ok after that operation but it wasn't. So I've made 2 more reboots and finally it works.

Apps are ok, ordered at www.papla.pl and dedicated to N5800.

same issue

I hope that we have identified the issue.

It seems that JR 2.0 Beta sends incorrect User-Agent header when downloading jar file.
Some operators may limit connectivity if User-Agent header is not what they expect.

This will be fixed in the next release and hopefully it will resolve this issue.
