Impact: Reduced functionality, unable to participate in forums.
Affecting/requirements to replicate:
Users meeting all the following criteria:
1) Have established Nokia Accounts,
2) Have email addresses associated with Nokia Account that have previously been successfully verified, and
3) Have not previously logged into Betalabs.
Bug description:
Upon first login to Betalabs, users affected will be informed by a paragraph of text in the page header that they need to verify their email addresses before posting in the forums. A link to verify email address in the same block of text can be clicked, which takes the user to:
https://account.nokia.com/acct/account/index.html
Once on this page, the users primary address will be listed as preferred and no indication that the address is unverified.
The user has previously received an email verification when the account was established, and that link was clicked to verify the email address entered.
The problem was not resolved after logging out of Betalabs, and logging back in.
Workaround:
1) Logout of Betalabs.
2) Access account.nokia.com and authenticate with account credentials.
3) Click link edit your email address.
4) Delete existing email address.
5) Re-add email address.
6) Wait for verification email, and click link provided to confirm email address.
7) Relogin to betalabs.
Account is now listed as verified and users can post to forums.
