Bugreport for Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0

Mon, 2009-10-26 12:44 sealionact: Lost USB connection

Ovi Suite no longer recognises three phones (N97, N82 and 5800) as connected via USB. Bluetooth connection is still possible, and Vista recognises the phone as connected. Initially, the USB connection worked fine, and all three phones synced fine. Also I still experience "no internet connection" when trying to update. All three phones have the latest firmware via NSU (over USB!).

Can you check your Windows Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager -> Wireless Communication Devices? Can you see your Nokia devices listed there?

Yes, I have the following; Generic, LCIF, 2X Obex (should there be 2?), and phone parent. I'm finding that if I open Ovi suite first, then connect/change the phone/s, I am able to use USB connection. If I connect the phone first then open Ovi, the phone is not recognised, even though the phone is present in the system manager. I will continue with this workaround for now, but the "no internet connection" is still bothering me - especially with the V2.0 N97 firmware coming up!
