Maps TTS?

Discussion for Ovi Maps Beta for mobile

Hi,

Isnt this new version of Maps supposed to have TTS? It doesnt seem to work for me...everything works fine except TTS. i have a 5800 music xpress and have just upgraded from the preinstalled maps software to the beta. THe language pack is UK english female. Can someone help me get TTS working?.

Have you tried on voice guidance of settings->navigation, you sould find English (UK) - with name of street and download it.

Still can't find TTS

Hi guys, much like the original OP, my Ovi maps beta seems to work really well on my 5800 however, try as I might, I can't seem to find / activate the english TTS option.

Using OVI map loader, I put the maps for the UK and Ireland on my device along with the English Male and Female voices ( I can't see an option in the list for English Female - Street Names ?)

When I've tried to change the voices in the Ovi map application on the 5800, under the language options in the Navigation settings page, again there are only 2 English options - Male and Female - Not a TTS or With Street Names (or whatever it's called) ?

Is there another file I have to download, if so could someone point me in the right direction please ?
