Toggle email notifications on/off?

When I signed up for this forum the signup page asked me for my email address.

This suggests that I'll be notified by email of replies to topics I started and topics I posted in, right?

At least, that's the way things work on just about any other forum on the www.

Why couldn't you have used phpBB, or or at least stick to the format as discussions.europe.nokia.com ? Is it really necessary to use different, incompatible forum formats within nokia.com?

Anyway, I searched all over the beta labs forum options for a place where I could turn email notifications of forum replies on/off, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Is it hidden really well, or doesn't this feature exist on this forum?

No, not well hidden

Your email was asked for verification. There is no such email notification feature yet.

I do like the email notification of forum discussions(other places), but i would not see it agreeable for Nokia Beta Labs Forum.

Why would it not be agreeable on this forum? If you don't like email notification you can always switch it off, but it should be available for those who want to use it.

If it were to go down this route the ideal option for me would be to have a "Watch this thread" button so I can choose which threads I want to follow.

RSS feeds work well for me.

A quick setup of an RSS feed works well for me to watch for new posts/replies.

If I remember correctly I accidentally found some hidden RSS pages for the forum, but they were blak so maybe this is being looked at already?
