Bugreport for Gizmo for S60

Sun, 2009-02-08 23:32 catvedeler: Gizmo not working

I used Gizmo for about a month and it was working fine. Then it suddenly stopped working. I tried to reinstall the program, but I am still unable to use it.

When I go to Internet tel. and Configure internet call service, I cannot get any further. After I have typed my user name and password, I get the following message:

Unable to configure Gizmo Internet call service.

I have tried installing different versions of Gizmo, and only Gizmo5 works on my phone right now. I am not able to make internet calls.

I hope someone can help me out.

I have a Nokia E51

I have the same problem as stated above.
I guess Gizmo is not compatible with the new firmware v300.34.56 for E51.
Ever since i upgraded my firmware i could not use Gizmo.
Kindly provide a solution to this problem.

I was having problems at first, but I got it to work with the new firmware v300.34.56 for E51. Try this:
- Make sure your E51 has the correct date/time/year set
- Go into Installations and Remove all instances of Gizmo
- Go to Tools -> Settings -> Connection
- Delete everything out of SIP settings & Internet tel. You might have to change the Registration on your SIP Settings to "When Needed" before you can delete them.
- Go to http://betalabs.nokia.com/betas/view/gizmo-s60
- Re-download & re-install the Nokia Internet Services Support Package to the device memory under Step 1
- Download & install the 2nd Gizmo link under Step 2
- Go to your Contacts and arrow over to the Gizmo tab. Enter your Gizmo settings.
- Try to Go Online. If it fails with a Network Error or similar, go to Tools -> Settings -> Connection -> SIP Settings. Gizmo should have created a Profile for you here. Set the Registration to Always, then go back to Gizmo and try Go Online again.

This worked for me, and now I can receive incoming Gizmo calls for the 1st time.

ok, here's what it worked for me:

I removed gizmo
turned the phone off then on again
installed from betalabs, NOT from the Download application (though it seems to be the same version)
configured gizmo and made a couple of calls
then I reinstalled the nokia internet.... 1.07(5) then ovi contacts
checked again and everything is working.

maybe something messed up by contacts, nimbuzz or fring?
