Comment to 'Suggestion: Create a version forS60 5th Ed (n97, 5800 etc)' by mbrett

Nokia Sports Tracker is soon to become something more like Sports Tracker by Sports Tracking Technologies. The new company is a the child of the two main developers of Nokia Sports Tracker which Nokia has agreed to hand over to them. The only dicussued Nokia inhouse resultant of Sports Tracker will be a new extension to Nokia Maps.

According to Sports Tracking Technologies Sports Tracker will live on, but with Nokia removed from the name, or at least this is my understanding from what is being said. There may even be changes and improvements around the corner, but the transitions needs to complete first. Hopefully we'll all know more by the end of this year/early next.

Finally had a look at the N900 and it has a conversation for SMS.... why is nokia letting down adopters of N97. Should i have known that they would stick in a phone module in the tablet series, i would hae stayed away from n97....
Now i feel really let down after seeing this.... May be time to switch camp. Will be waiting for a month, else bye bye nokia.

I also noticed this in the Ovi Suide during the beta stage. I was assuming that it would be incorporated in version 2.0 of the firmware. I was wrong.

HTC and Palm have already implemented this.
It would be great if nokia too does it.

Suggestion: Icons on N97 by victorlage

Hello everyone, I´m new here, but I am already addicted to Nokia!

I´ve been personalizing my N97 for my use, and one of the things I made was to rerrange the Apps in Menu, for my better access. That meant I created half a dozen yellow "folders" (just like "ol' Windows ones"), with my Apps icons stored within each folde,r according to my classification - like "Internet", "GPS", "Office" and so on.

What I would like to know is: Isn´t there a way of attributing to each folder a unique icon (like the four-square icon of "Apps"), showing a mnemonic design for each folder? Come to think of it, I have dealt in the past with some good freeware icon software in Windows, allowing me to design / redesign icons for my personal use, and attribute such icons to the folders which pleased me. Some of them even used, like, for instance, my picture or my friends picture, in order to make personalized icons I could edit for better viwewing.

Actually, I reached this Beta page while serching for such an App, is there one available? If not, I suggest it should be developed, and I would gladly be its tester!

Thank you all, and keep up the good work!

Suggestion: Sms Delay send by Cojack1961

I really enjoyed the feature on the 9210i where you could write a SMS and send it to the recipient at a later date or time. sometimes you want to send a SMS but you know now would not be the right time. but you do know when they can receive sms. Or if you at home at night and you to remind someone of something but that is a work issue and do not want to disturb them at home but you know they will be work at 08h00 the next day. Then you can write the sms and send it, to be sent from your phone at 08hoo the following day or next week.

Me too.. when conversation is installed and i'm sending a message it appears a message: Mess. editor in use. Sometimes it seems it is sending sms but not in reality because it doesn't send it ( the message doesn't appear neither in sent messages nor in outbox). Infact when this happens it doesn't appear the outbox icon in the right top corner.

Review: *5* Great App, Should be Standard by Arron.fitzgerald

The problem with viewing MMS messages can be solved by updating the application using 'Application Update' in the S60 Applications menu.

The updated version provides a one-line view of each message in a conversation and also includes missed calls. You may want to change the preview setting from 'pop-up' to 'scroll', as the pop-up default setting doesn't work very well.
