Comment to 'Bugreport: Connection crashes all the time' by promike

Thanks, but not working for me... I have no problems creating the connection. It just won't stay connected for more than a few minutes. Then it reconnects immediately and keeps connected for another few minutes. And this repeats all the time in irregular intervals.
Otherwise the MWS works perfectly while the server is running at the time (and not reconnecting).

I have that happen every once and a while and it seems to simply be that the MWS is just having problems making that initial connection to the server.

Try starting the app, once you find that its not connecting, choose the menu option for Stop Server. Then use the Menu again to Exit the app. Go back into the MWS app, running it and see if you get a connection then.

Again, that has worked for me from time to time; maybe it will help you as well.

Thanks for anwering hekkajo, but my access point is already set to "user defined" with Internet access points group selected (my network provider as 1st priority - again, full reception).
Nevertheless, the application isn't questioning me anything. It just goes through "restarting", "connecting" to "running" all by itself without any obvious reason.
I have no idea, what can make the connection fail so often.

Hi,
Can you try to select annnother IAP just to make sure it is working all extend ( you could try Wi-Fi too).
If you are using 2G network and some other application is already conected it might be case that network don't allowto make annother active data connection ( like sending SMS or having phone call can put MWS on restarting mode in 2G network)

Bugreport: Nokia 5800 - MWS - Doesn't start by karthiksm

Hello,
I installed the Mobile Web server today. After installation when it tries to connect to the internet for the first launch it did not connect. However, I am able to connect to hotmail and other websites. After that I tried to start the server by going to Options > Start Server.
It showed 'Connecting' and then changed to 'Restarting'. It remains at 'Restarting' for ever.

When I try to access the web server from the browser, it says I am not connected.
Also enabled Remote Start and tried to start remotely too. But it stops with the Restarting status.

Bugreport: Connection crashes all the time by promike

Hi,
I installed Mobile Web Server 1.5.1 on my N97 RM-505 (FW V12.0.024) and I really like the amazing idea of the application. But when I wanted to get some real use of it (i.e. having the application running nonstop in background) I experienced the server running seamlessly only for a few minutes (approximately 3-4) and then the connection crashes forcing the server to restart (which is acompanied with an annoying beep and the display background light turning on). This repeats every few minutes irregulary on both, wi-fi and 3.5G connections (full signal strength).

It's really unpleasent because if I'm playing around with "mymobilesite" in my PC browser, it goes offline every few minutes and I have to wait up to 30 seconds till the server reconnects.
Nobody else experiencing this behaviour? Am I missing something?

It would be good if the web page (like the Mobile Web Server page) here in betalabs would show the version info (current stable version xx.yy.zz) on the page.
