It looks so useful for me, being somewhat past my sell-by date and needing reading glasses!

What a shame it doesn't work on N97. I know it is not one of the listed phones on which it works, but I thought I would try it anyway.

When I try to Install, the phone says "Unable to install. The component is built in".

If so, where is it? I can't find it.

Anyone else found it on an N97, please?

congratulations, it's realy a grat idea!

only sin for the incompatibility with many devices that for now have...

with n79 don't work only the autofocus, but all the remainder functions are ok.

i will suggest the implementation of the only black/white view option: it is very important fore the visually handicapped people.

when installing, the phone shows a message "unable to install. component is built-in"
(I think it should have something to do that when installing through nokia pc suite it says the app is already installed on the phone. overwrite? (it isn't installed))

The application doesn't focus automatically when the center button is pressed.
Manual focussing is possible.

I have tryed to install this software in my Nokia N70 and I get the message "Archivo dañado".
Is this compatible with my RM-84 model? If not, will be compatible?

On the Beta's page (http://betalabs.nokia.com/betas/view/nokia-magnifier) it states:

Tested with the latest SW versions:

* Works on: N96, N95, N95 8GB, N82, N73, E90, E71, E66

(These are S60v3.1 and s60v3.2 phones)

It has not been designed to work with s60v5 phones.

I second this statement. I moved the camera further away and closer to the target image and the phone didn't attempt to put the image into focus.

The application loads and installs, but doesn't focus. When I try to take a picture, the application crashes.
Besides, the application runs very slowly.

Souldn't try until it has an S60 5th Edition Release.

The 5800 and N97 are based on the S60 5th Edition platform. The present versions of Magnifier are designed for the S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 and 2 platforms. It is not advisable to install applications not designed for the correct platform of your device. Most applications will not allow installation on the incorrect platform but some will and the result can be incompatability issues with installed applications and worse. These incorrectly insatlled applications, in some cases can then be iremoveable without a factory rest of your device remove all personal information stored on your device.

This app works fine on Nokia 5700 but the user has to twist to camera mode, press red button and then start the application...its messy :(

Nice, it works on E71x. Like some whined that the fonts edge are not clear and so and so, i don't care about that and nor it should make any different in this app.

Its just for magnifying, which you use only temporarily. Its not a spectacle.

Anyways, nice app. Works fine.
