So as a corporate user, why did you OFFER me Ovi but then not bother to mention it was for 'personal use' only and not suitable for corporate users?

Oh - and why does the Help still mention in 3 places "Syncing with your calander with Outlook or Lotus Notes" and simliar

Yet another rubbish software product from disfunctiional software team. Get it sorted or just turn off the lights on your way out please.

I had some problems with my phone so i did a hard reset. (first I made a backup of course)

Now I wanted to restore this backup and ovi store always says it's allready busy with another task... And I have to cancel the other task if I want to restore my phone...
But I can't see a cancel button....
I've tried it a million times now but it's always the same error...

I have a Nokia 5800 xPressMusic, firmware v31.0.101.
My browser is Firefox and my operating system is Windows 7...

I hope I can get some help...

We've already got the sync of bookmarks with Firefox. How about extending the syncing to the Mozilla Outlook equivalent so that we can sync our Calendars, notes and Contacts

I'm a professional and I have to boot to windows just to synchronize my mobile.
My whole workflow lays on Linux and Windows is on my hard drive just to run Ovi Suite.
Please (!)
and it would be great to allow syncronization with Evolution (even Evolution to Ovi Server could be an help).

I find that Notes 8.5.1 brings my Google Calendar into my Nokia 6300, as well as my standard Notes calendar. The "upgrade" to Ovi is a big backwards step for me. I'll be sticking with PC Suite for now.

In the PC Suite I can select the Outlook folders that will be synchronised.
I have one Folder with > 600 Business Contacts and one with > 400 Privat Contacts. In PC-Suite I can select the folder that I want on my phone.

I could not find any work around to this, I uninstalled it and reinstalled PC Suite.

Ovi Suite is a big Step back.

(and the Window on the Screen much too big)

Hi,

I was also looking for some answer about this, OVI cloud sync with local Outlook. I didn't get anything.
But I was able to do this with Evolution mail client in Ubuntu. I am sure we should be able to do same in Windows.

My guess that maybe there are listening, but either do not dare to answer or are not allowed to do so. There comments regarding this crappy software is limited to... What device, what OS and so.
It would be nice if some Nokia programmer grew a set of balls, and commented on the houndreds of complains the have received all over the net.
Also how the situation would be rectified.

I am pragmatic, the only reason I used Nokia so far was the great interaction with the PC and Navigation.. Well now the interaction is gone with the release of Ovi-suite.
And now that Google is releasing navigation for Android that looks like it has a tons of features. I honestly think I am a gooner from Nokia - as soon as an acceptable Andriod "Pc-suite" emerges and a good device.

I am not the only one, so Nokia - get your act togehter, and have a nice weekend. (I know you will be working here) ;-)

1 star only for the good looking interface. poor os support... windows only is no more acceptable, wrong choice against nokia itself, working on linux for high end devices. poor groupware support: no more support for Lotus Notes and other software than outlook? again, it's against nokia: they are working to support Lotus Notes Traveler to all phone but not from the pc? ridiculous Huge hardware resource required, for an application that should be optimal for netbook poor user target definition: this application is only for dummies. Nothings here for power user... this is just an apple style clone, just worst. less features then pc suite... it was incomplete and far to be perfect; ovi suite is worst then pc suite

Just in case this works as a kind of voting, I add my vote to those who say that Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0.1.35 (the latest release as at today) would not synchronise contacts (with Nokia 5800 XpressMusic) and I have no intention of installing OVI Contacts either. Nokia people, thank you for listening and releasing a version of OVI Suite that would at least synchronise contacts and photos.

Since I do not dear installing Ovi-suite 2.0 risking my well functioning PC-Suite I wonder if someone here could help. I understand that there has been 3 updates. (But it still sucks).
Can someone tell me whether

- Is timeline view implemented in the photo section?
-Are videos syncronized?

I'm a linux user and still waiting for any news on the support of ovi on linux. Has nokia still some intention to create a ovi version for linux and if the intention is still there, when can we expect any feedback/software?

I just added my external's hdd music folder 60 gig and was done in less than 5 minutes in iTunes. In Ovi Suite I only added 2 folders, eletronic and rock and left more than 3/4 out....

Still Ovi Suite takes soooooo much longer to add 1/4 of what iTunes imported and needs like 10x the amount of time!

First of all, when u start the program for the first time you should be able to set the image folder. Then I wouldnt have the problem to WAIT Hours for the pictures to be deleted from ovi.

The problem is that when u delete pictures, there are put into DELETED. Deleting them from DELETED TAKES FOREVER!

Another question: Why does it say it deletes 111mb, when I only said delete from OVi but not from Hard disc? That makes no sense!
