Review: *5* Great application by wolfiekun

I've been using this progam on my 6210 Navigator for a couple of months now without any problems, it's set to automatically start each day and it has done so without fail. Definitely recommended, I'm hardly a fitness nut I just thought it would be interesting to see how much walking I do each day.

Definitely recommended, I'm hardly a fitness nut I just thought it would be interesting to see how much walking I do each day.

Pros: easy setup, automatic operation, restores data if the phone goes flat (has happened several times, it says 'One workout recovered after application crash' even though it was the phone that died not the app), very cool little graphs showing workout trends (even though I didn't discover them until this morning)

Cons: none that I have come across.

Bugreport: Error in calculating distance by Victorspmiranda

Step counter is not calculating distance correctly. For example, my step length is 88 cm, so when i run 8302 steps, the distance have to be 7.30 km and not 8.61 km as it shows. I've tried several times, with other distances, but the software keeps giving me a number bigger than it should be. My phone is a n95 8 gb, firmware v 20.0.016.

There are versions of Sport Tacker out there for S60v5 devices like the N97.

You just need to do some Googling.

I have versions 1.83, 2.05 and 2.06 installation files, downloaded from the internet.

The version first released through Nokia and the Sports Tracker website, but were then removed. No noe really knows why, but some of the blog sites around the internet have kept copies available on their sites.

I tried it on a Nokia E66-1.
Installation was fine but when trying to start it...."unable to start engine. exiting."
That means I will have to wait for a compatible version.

Same problem on a XM5800 after a week or 2 of usage without problem
Reboot the phone did not help, nor did uninstall / reinstall
Even after uninstall / delete config.dat / reinstall, the same symptom appears
after completely clearing the "stepcounter" folder, I could get it restarted. I suppose the last .dat file might have been corrupted. I have kept it if somebody in the dvpt crew wants to take a look at it
