I have a Nokia 6760 Slide, downloaded the 3.2 Conversation file and it works perfectly. Better integration needed though, I'm not feeling the way it is an extension of Contacts, when it should be joined with the Messaging service.

After trying Conversation for a few days on my E71-1, I would like to make the following comments: 1) The idea of bundling Conversation together with the Contacts list IS UTTERLY stupid. It should've been bundled with messaging as a user can't simply start a conversation UNLESS that user already has one existing with another user. 2) Conversation does not show the entire exchange of messages with ALL text, like what the Treo's messaging platform has been doing EVER SINCE the beginning. A preview of each message isn't enough, as one needs to OPEN EACH AND EVERY message in the conversation just to know the complete context of the message. 3) Conversation does not take over as the default SMS handling application. It really FEELS STUPID to use Conversation outside of the messaging framework - e.g you can send SMS via Conversation but you CANT RECEIVE SMS on it, and still have to go to Messaging. The only saving grace I found about Conversation is that it attempts to be simple. No conversation bubbles like what the iPhone does, and after indexing messages, it goes really fast. I really wonder what are the developers thinking about making this a really competitive product. In short, at this point of development, I really cannot recommend installing this product as the product design of this application is highly questionable.

can some nokia e72-1 user help me with the installation of this 1? do we have to use the symbian os 3.0/3.1 file or the 3.2 version installable .. bcoz nokia e72 has os 3.2.3, but e71 is listed in 3.0/3.1 .. I tried installing the exec for 3.2 but it shows me that contact feature is not supported. Please help !!

This was what i was waiting for.... This appln is very much beneficial for persons like me who do messaging. Easy accessing & good view. Let me suggest one thing: When ever the Conversation App is ON for the first time or when database reloads, the app will be reading the Inbox & creates categorisations & loads it. While this is operation is going on, a scrolling alert is shown (not an error, but done by Developers.). This's good, but if many messages are present in the Messaging folder, then a lot of time will be spend. So, what i want to suggest is to avoid showing the alert. Instead, just load the messages & in mean time user can access the loaded messages. I tried this app in Nokia N82.

The software is too good but it need to be completable with the message means the normal message option which we have on our phne some thing similar to iphone . Great stuff guys but would be happy if i use it as a default option . Regards Amol Pujar

I HAVE INSTALLED IN MY NOKIA E71-1. IT WORKS FINE BUT IT ONLY SHOWS A LIST OF MESSAGES FROM THE RECEPIENT. MEANING, IF YOU SEND SAY 10 SMS TO A AND RECEIVED 10 REPLY FROM A, WHEN YOU GO TO CONVERSATION, YOU WOULD SEE A LIST OF 10 SMS THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED FROM A. IT DOES NOT SHOW YOU SMS THAT YOU HAVE SENT TO A.

I was looking for a free and functional application like this and now with the latest firmware for my E51 v410.034.001 it works very good. I have started using it with firmware v400, but when deleting messages from Conversations, they were still appearing there. I had to kill Contacts and start it again to see in Conversations only messages that still were in the inbox and sent.

excellent app! 2 suggestions. let the app show the whole message on one screen rather than scroll it slowly across better integration into the main messaging app (like iphone txt messaging) would make it perfect! let this app graduate!

I like this app, it is by no means flawless but it is useful. It organises efficiently all recent text messages and actually better than on the in built messaging, it automatically changes contact names when added to your phonebook. The problems start when closing, if you use the red end application button, it then takes a while to load up again, whereas exiting via continuously going back means a quick restart, and the other problem is it isn't very attractive, compared with the blackberry and apple equivalents. A good start, and i would like to see this incorporated into future devices, but only with some refinements to the appearance and fixing the loading time bug.

i've been using this neat little extension for little under a year on my N96. Works without fault. One note for users who haven't yet tried this would be that if you have anything over 50 messages in your inbox/sent folders combined, the application won't be responsive straight away. It is simply loading the messages and filing them in order and you shouldn't panic. The more messages you have, the longer it will take. I had 500 messages once and it loaded in under 30 seconds. The initial loading time is longer and should ease the more you use it.

I would prefer to read the entire message in the same screen where I can answer and not having to go back to answer. Because when the massage is long it does not appear complete in the screen. It appears like : hello brother ... I do not want it like that. I want something like this : hello brother, what are you doing?

Hi all. Have used Conversations for serveral months. What I didn't understand was the following. Conversation was generating editor crashes. I could simply copy and paste the test in another opened editor and all goes through. When I recently removed Conversations, I have been free of the editor crashes. Its been 6 days now. I love the software so I really didn't want to remove the conversation software. The software makes texting much better. Nokia N96-3 NAM Software version 30.033

This is a poor attempt at making an actual conversation app. I thought that Nokia couldn't make it work but they made it happen with the X3. I wonder why they can't do the same thing for the E72. It's a very good phone and I have no problems with it except the fact that it does not have a conversation app. This app stopped working when I updated my FW to the latest one. Now, the app is useless. It installs but it doesn't work. Someone fix this please.

It loads up pretty fast when I am already in it. However, if someone sends a new text message it has to reload the whole thing again. And as a heavy text message user I have over 500+ saved text. Apart from the loading every time I go in there it is a good application overall. Its good that it supports MMS

Works great with my Nokia E63. It's a easy to use software for E63 users as all the msgs frm the same sender and their replies are collected in a single folder of that sender. Simply great work...i appriciate it! Thanks!

gud app! two thumbs up! i don't follow the instruction step-by-step (can't find Nokia Contacts Service Support Package and uninstall it and can't install Phonebook Extension Manager) but it work just fine, but i can't uninstall the app? why? somebody can help me? can nokia make this app integrated with all nokia's phone?
