I've used the app in Berlin previously and last weekend I went back to London and tried out the app there.
When I started the app, the dialog to shake the phone to get position appeared momentarily before disappearing.
The app then continued to show POIs from Berlin (with distances within 1-2 kms).
A few problems here:-
1- The position update dialog appeared only momentarily without giving the user to actually update the position.
2- There's no way to force the position update on the app, unless the app thinks it needs to do so.
3- If the position is deemed NOT to be up to date, the app shouldn't show POIs from previous known position. I would prefer that the app doesn't show any POIs at all when the position is not known, rather than show what are clearly wrong POIs for the location.
