Interface/Menu Bar suggestions

2012-05-03 @ 00:22 by Beta_Banana
Hi,

first of all, i like this app a lot and i can see how finding nearby places like this is a lot easier and more intuitive than looking at the maps-application.
While i've played around with this app on my N9 i came across a few issues of varying, (low-ish) importance:

*The "Exit Application" button seems redundant on the N9 version.

*I don't like the "toggle menu bar"-button either. I think it shouldn't be there at all(in the N9 version), and should be toggled on/off instead by quickly tapping a non-POI part of the screen. (similar to other N9 apps, like the image gallery or documents)

*On the N9 version, the nearest POIs end up behind the menu bar, they should float above the menu bar until it disappears (not sure whether this is a bug)

About the amount and appearance of the POIs:
It has already been mentioned before, but i'd really like to have a stronger differentiation between POIs nearby and far away by means of size, transparency or shade of their icons. (Maybe make the farther away icons flatter or more trapezoidal to signify the distance, and maybe converging to some virtual horizon ever so slightly below the top of the screen?)

thank you for your time!

Cheers,
Alex
