CNN International features textual news and articles across 12 categories, video on demand, CNN Live video (when available), and iReport citizen journalism including sharing and tweeting.

Update October 6, 2011: version 1.3 of the CNN International app is available in Nokia Store, which has an improved breaking news feature and add some new things based on the feedback gathered earlier.  For example, you can now select which category of news will be shown in the miniview.  With this update, we'll now conclude the beta trial for the earlier Symbian version.

Update July 14, 2011: We are concluding this beta trial as we prepare a release for Ovi Store distribution.  Thanks everyone for helping us test out the beta version 1.2 of CNN International.  Your feedback has been very valuable in determining what to focus on in the last stages of development.

Update July 8, 2011: Beta version 1.2 of CNN International is now available via Nokia Beta Labs with the following improvements:

• New look & feel for CNN Breaking News dialogue. It would be great if you could install CNN 1.2. before the weekend, as you will be doing manual test push notifications on Saturday, Sunday and Monday 10:00am Pacific time.
• Home screen (alias widget) support. Preferred category can be selected from settings. Default is top stories.
• Added support for S60 5th ed phones. Note: 5800 users must have  PR4 (V40.0.005) or later sw version installed. CNN Video-on-demand  and CNN Live do not yet work in this release on S60 5th ed devices.
• It is now possible to shoot an image/video directly from iReport/submit.
• Based on Qt 4.7, previous version using Qt 4.6
• Many small improvements.

Known issues:

• Nokia E6 is currently not supported
• Nokia 5800 users must have firmware V40.0.005 or later installed in order to get CNN Breakings news to work. 
• CNN Video-on-demand  and CNN Live do not yet work in this release on S60 5th ed devices. Video tab is removed from the application. This is likely to work on the final CNN 1.2 release
• Ovi Store 2.8 client supports update functionality. If user downloaded  the CNN 1.2 from betalabs, then Ovi Store will try to downgrade the client to the official CNN 1.0 release in Ovi Store.
