Thanks for the feedback! We will try it. It will be quite difficult to have live tile updated in real time. What if it will update every 30 minutes?
Real-time will be indeed to difficult as the live tiles are sometimes not that reliable. A 30 minute update would be welcome (and when opening the app, the update will be done immediately so when exiting the app, the correct info will be displayed)
it should be something balanced between updating information and batery use. It is useful to get an idea of the consumed data , but at least I'm not going to be continually checking, I just want to have a reference and I do not need that continuous update.
Yes, I am usually checking few times a day on what is my current data limit. Everybody is aware that you will not be able to refresh the tile more often than every 30 minutes (and sometimes even not that often).
I suggest having the main application pinned livetile showing all 3 limits (exluding those that are unlimited, i.e. showing current state of sms/data that have set limit and not showing calls that are unlimited) and then having possibility to pin individual limit from the application "usage" screen. E.g. in my case, I would like to long-click on "3G" data tile and see "pin to homescreen". That live-tile would then show my actual data status, %, and how soon I exhaust the data limit given my usage pattern so far (i.e. prediction) and the date+time of last update of the livetile (this is important, as the system does not guarantee the update will happen every 30 minutes).
Thanks
Just mentioning the value of the datacounters (maybe only the on that have limits) on the live tile would be awesome!
How about incorporating the app to work with the phone/messaging app so that as soon as a call is ended it updates the live tile. Same as messaging. As soon as the app is closed it updates the live tile. But aswell as a live tile how about toast notification as soon as a message is sent or a call has been ended. Id of thought that as seen in previous nokias that this was going to be standard. I hope if not in this app but in wp7.8 and 8.0 that this has been thought of by you. We want to see some original features like this standard feature in future formats. :-D
A Live tile feature is a must for me, along with a toast reminder or other notification to prompt for the app to be launched if not run for 14 days (to avoid the OS disabling background updates)

30 minutes refresh sounds great, assuming there's no huge hit on battery? Otherwise, perhaps consider bigger windows for those less willing to surrender battery life so quickly? :)
- 30 mins
- Every 2 hours,
- Every 6 hours,
- Every day?
Also, when using Battery Saver, be sure to
- either display last known values
- the app logo itself if values are gone
from moment on battery saver turns on, live tile information will be disabled and may result in a blank tile.. I wouldn't want one of those.
You should give a option to refresh the live tile after a significant use of internet cohesion (browsing, downloading apps, streaming...)
