Some people don't have all of their favorite music in their phone, other only listen to one type of music from their phones and some only listen to music via streaming (spotify, deezer ...)
To give better recommendation to those people, you could add the ability to fetch their last.fm listening data and give even more accurate suggestion for interesting gigs!

Good idea :-)
And maybe also allow for manual additions/deletions.
Deletion is interesting if you have say an old album or single song on the phone, but don't like what the artist is doing any more.
Perhaps also automatically add the artists you have actually done a search for.
