Gets stuck on "Checking user name" when trying to signup

N8, os version 011.012.286.01, browser version 7.2

When application opened I input my email address and press the button signup//Login
The popup "Checking user name" appears and the stays with no further things happening.

Same here on N8. Tried again following a device restart but same issue. Also tried with different email accounts - one already connected to my Nokia profile and then one unrelated.

That happened to me and then it crashed, but when I re-opened it, it let me continue past that stage.

Even I too have the same problem on my N8... it says "Checking user name".. but no reponse... it happend while using "Demo"..

I just mailed you my LOG...

I have sent you my email. Forgot to mention that signing up opens my default connection, which is wifi, but then it closes that connection after 3-4 seconds and then continues "checking user name..."

me too. My SIM card is issued in China. Will this be the cause of the problem?

Are you guys installing this on phone memory c: or mass memory e:?

The problems happens in both memories (C: and E:)

checking for names endlessly...

it worked on my n8 wen i tried it first time, i was impressed by the way it handled the word documents. but after that... it only says "checking user name" and nothing happens!

too bad. i was about to start using it as my main email client.

Did you get any response from Henrik? Was he able to fix the issue?

I noticed this thread http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/mobile-documents-by-visiarc/discussion/18... this morning.
I tried removing Fring from my N8 and can now use Mobile Documents.
Reinstalling Fring breaks it again, so there must be some incompatibility between the two apps.

solution for getting stuck on username in mobile document .the programme it seems is not compatible with fring so you have to remove fring to get it working

@gopichandpai, no he'd already found someone to assist with testing. I can however confirm that removing the fring app has allowed me to use Mobile Documents. I never use Fring anymore so no loss, no tears..

Mine was stuck at "Checking username" too but once I removed Fring as suggested above, it works!!!

Yes Guys, Fring and MobileDocument has incompatability I guess. After uninstalling fring, it works on my N8 too.

Anyhow I'm closely working with Henrick(MobileDocument Team) on testing. Lets see how could this problem gets resolved with uninstalling fring. :)

I am stuck on to the login page too. I do not have FRING installed, so this problem is not caused by it. What gives?

SAme isue. I have a 5800. I have never had fring (I have never listened anything about this application...but i have checked my applications just in case, and there is nothing, of course).

Mobile documents had worked for a time (2 or 3 months ago), but now I can't pass the checking user name step. Too bad. Mobile documents is really really good in my opinion. Please fix it.

It would use it at my only mail client in a second if I could !

PS: when no data connexion is active and I lauch MD and set my login, it says chacking user name, but it does not launch my 3G connection. Is that the problem -the app does not connect to the web) ?

IMPORTANT EDIT : I have done a hard reset on my 5800 because it was so slow, and after that I tried again Mobile Documents. It has found my login and password at first try ! I still don't know what the problem was, but it is solved. And Mobile Documents is really a so good stuff. The best mail client I've seen on Symbian. If I have an Android some day, I'm pretty sure I will use it.

I use a Nokia 5233. The app shows similar problem here. Although it gets past 'Checking Username', it gets stuck at 'Connecting to email account' after entering the password. It gets stuck because it just drops the internet connection and doesn't seem to reconnect again. It happens everytime I use the app. Re-installing doesn't help.

uninstall nokia drop then reboot to make your skype work in n8 belle
