2010-11-25 @ 13:13 by thesplitter

The same thing happens to me, using Firefox 3.

...and me too. Firefox 3, win XP.

Another thing: I look at the list of new entries (in some topic like this "Nokia beta labs"). I klick and read one entry and then press "back" button on Firefox (left arrow). I am not returned to the previous list of entries but to some old list.

Product team response

Yep, we've noticed too and apologize for the inconvenience this causes. There's an issue with how Nokia Account integrates into our site. We're trying to get a fix for this deployed as soon as possible. Hang in there!

The log-in issue is now fixed.

Unfortunately this still happens on my PC.
Whenever I access the site it says I am logged, but when I click on any link it brings me to the home page saying I'm not logged anymore. After clicking on "Sign in" it makes me login without asking username and password, as if I was logged from the beginning.
I tried both with Firefox 3.6 and Internet Explorer 9 beta, also after deleting all cookies and files.
It doesn't happen until I close the browser. When I open it again and come to Beta Labs, it gives me the problem. Obviously, I checked the "remember me" option about password and username.
Thanks for attention!

i still have the bug
i'm in italy, probably is a geolocation-related bug

-Nicola

still have this problem

Odd, it still works on our development site, but fails in the production. But indeed, I can reproduce it with a regular account. I'll re-open the ticket for this. Hopefully it will be quicker to fix now that we have an environment where it works.

its also happens here in malaysia.. sometimes i cant log in.. i have to click register.. log out from there and sign in..

Exactly what happens to me since last week.
When I click on "Sign in" nothing happens, so I have to click on "Register", then login from there and come back to the Labs...
Tried again with both the browsers on Windows 7.

Product team response

How about now? Seems like there might be a new bug in the session caching service perhaps. Will need to keep an eye on this.

Now it seems to have returned to the original version of the problem (logout after a click, then automatic login when clicking on sign in), which is far better then clicking on "Register" every time, though it's not ideal.

In the last days I was not able to log, but today it was ok for me both on my pc and my n8.

How about now? :)

There's still one bug relating to the "remember me for 2 weeks" not signing in passively, but the other sign in issue after re-opening the browser should be fixed (again :p).

Well, actually there is some improvement.
What it does now is showing me signed out when I open the page, and then sign me in automatically when I click "Sign in".
So it is faster then before, when I had to click twice to make me login.
Tested with Firefox 3.6 on Windows 7.

Getting another weird sign in bug today, trying to moderate (hide) a few duplicate or posts with nothing in - Although I am signed in everytime I hit "hide" I get "You must sign in first"

Currently using The N8-00 and C7-00 as primary devices but have at the latest count a total of 44 mobile devices at home.

Product team response

@steceso: yes, this is the passive sign-in issue I mentioned. We're looking into it.

@sheridan01: must be a user rights-issue. Could you give me the details of what you're trying to do, so I can investigate? Or does this happen with all moderation attempts?

Hi Ilkka

It seems to only happen when I try to "hide" a post. Other moderation seems fine. Basically I do what I have always done - click on "hide" but instead of the usual 404 error we all get when we do that it asks me to login again.

BTW every time to come to beta labs site, it shows me as logged in but when I click on ANY link it asks me to sign in. This is every time

Since today it became worse than ever.
I don't know if it's only me, but both with Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox 3.6 I have to delete cookies every time I open this site, otherwise there is no way to access, either with "Sign in" nor "Register".

Same problem !
Since yesterday I've got a lot of mails
"Your first impressions of Nokia Big Screen / Nokia Reader..." too .
Please stop spamming !

me too, i think that this spam error is related to login bug

-Nicola

If you think that a post is helpful, clik ok "helpful" button.

Sometimes, with Internet Explorer 9 the bug is like I described it in post #17.
At the moment I had to delete all cookies, then click on "Register" and login from there.
With Firefox, instead, it is impossible to login in any way.
Please, find a way to fix it, thanks!

@steceso
i'm using chrome and i have only to click 1 time to "login" to be automatically logged in, just while opening the main page

-Nicola

Problem seems to be solved . No more problems using firefox .

Yes, now it is again like Nicola said, maybe it was a temporary problem.
Thanks, a little more improvement and it will work perfectly!

Product team response

Thanks for you patience with this. There was an issue with one of our site components. After restarting it yesterday, the problem should be resolved.

Login problems again !!!
Unable to login to BetaLabs .
My workaround :
Logout/Login to maps.ovi.com
Then it's possible to Signin to BetaLabs .
