Clever, but is Nokia really using the feedback?

2012-04-21 @ 03:04 by Corvida
I have two qualms with this site:

1. The "give feedback" option on the homepage should only appear if you haven't given feedback to any of the apps you're testing.

2. Allow me to reply to someone that responds to my feedback.

Other than that, I enjoy this little repository of new apps for Nokia devices.

I also wish there was a section that allowed testers to see what's been improved, what's being considered, and what could never work. Please see GetSatisfaction as an example.

1. you could "give feedback" adding bugreports, suggestions, discussions or reviews after that you used more intensively an app.
2. Could you give more details? If you click on your feedback and on a reply of nokia staff/user, it will open the thread giving the possibility to reply. Or do you mean reply directly on "my recent activity" page without open the thread?

About have the feedback of our feedbacks will be very nice. In the past I suggested to have some status that the staff give to our suggestions and bugreports.
for example
suggestions - under discussion - aviable on the next release - rejected
bugreports - under investigations - problem solved

Hi Corvida,

Thank you for the feedback!

As this is a trialling service, we encourage people to give feedback about the apps they have tried not only once. Therefore, the Give feedback link is always there, if you have downloaded the most recent version. The teams really appreciate the feedback and really appreciate the more (quality) feedback they get versus an app store where usually you give feedback only once tops per item.

When someone replies to a thread you've participated in (such as this), you will see those at the top, in the blue status bar. If you had email notifications on, you would receive the replies over email as well. You can switch those on in your profile. These will help you reply to such responses to you.

@navio also

We are implementing something like that for bugs, a status tracker. For suggestions, there is nothing in the plans at least yet. The GetSatisfaction example by Corvida is a good reference and I agree it surely works there well. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hope this helps!

Can an indicator be added to remind us of the last review we posted for an app? I just have no way of remembering if I posted a review already unless I do some digging. Wish it was available on site by visiting the app or the review page or noted somewhere on the homepage.

@ilkka
I was looking for a direct reply button to reply to specific comments. I just see an option to post a new comment, forcing me to use indicators like the one above to denote what I'm replying to.

@navio
Replying directly on "my recent activity" page without opening the thread would be nice also.

@Corvida

An indicator of when you've reviewed an application... maybe. I get your point. Interesting idea , and a good way if we would like to promote writing reviews more. I'm not sure if we do... I'll have to think about that.

I understand how from a user's perspective, multi-threaded comments would be more preferable. We've chose not to do that for the reason that a single-thread discussion is very often much easier to read through by developers, as comments are in chronological order. Perhaps if multi-threading would only be allowed one level down (commenting on a comment, but not commenting on a comment's comment), perhaps that could still work.

Replying directly on "my recent activity" is also an interesting proposal. We'll hold on to that idea as well. Thanks!
