Is anyone else getting a "Certificate Error" message when trying to install this app? QT installs perfectly, but trying to install the Connectivity Analyzer always results in a failed install because of the error. I have re-downloaded the install file multiple times, but the same thing happens, any ideas?
Device Details:
Nokia E90 218.82
V 07.40.1.2
RA-6

Now it works !!!
I've tried everything :
_one year back
_two month back
_five month back
_installation from ovi
_copy on E: then instal on E: or on C:
always the same answer : Expired Certificate
then I reboot the phone
and reinstall it from C:\Temp to dirve E: (because I hope it will then perhaps not use C: for logs files ?)
aaaaannnnd it works (needed to push 4 times on OK when dialogs comes ant its done)
FYI I've N8-00 Symbian^3 Belle 111.030.0609.253.01 (Belgium French UI)

If using N8 with Belle update, it gives me a fault code that the licence is expired during installation.
SW version:
111.030.0609
I have the same problem also with N8 Belle. Licence will expire 8.03.2012 so we have one month. I need this tool so I will look for help. If I resolve problem I will post here the solution.
Try how I've done
1) put the sisx on phone's memory C:\temp by browsing the phone memory from windows.
2) change the date to 5 month backward
3) reboot the phone
4) launch the sisx from the file explorer apps on the phone
5) hit "ok" for each questions (4 if I remember)
6) reset the date on today
my all problums now solvd,,,,,,,,,,,but flash lite 4.0 still not proper working in my nokia c7-00 plzzzzzzzz help meeeeeee!!!!!
where i can update flash lite or repeir my flash lite...? any one know did it plzzzzz?
WALAN or WLAN? WALAN I don't know but WLAN is Wireless Local Area Network = Wifi. You should know how to use wireless network.
Resigning is now ongoing. I will upload the files after the signing is done.
Sorry for this delay!!!!
In my N8-00 with Symbian Anna, plus service pack:
Menu -> Settings -> Application manager -> Installed apps.
Connectivity Analyzer
Version:
0.07(0)
Certificates -> View details
Valid until:
08/03/2012
Menu -> Settings -> Application manager - Installed apps.
IP Packet capture (pcap)
Version:
0.09(1)
Certificates -> View details
Valid until:
09/02/2012
===
So it might be the expired certificate from this IP Packet capture (pcap) which is (from my understanding) required by Connectivity Analyzer, that is the source of the problem.
In which case, unless there is an update coming, it would appear that the trial period might be over.
Now it's available:

Perhaps someone can test the following... since we suspect the problem might be due to the IP Packet capture (pcap) certificate, which expired on 09/02/2012, can you change the phone date back one month, or at least some date before 09/02/2012.
Something like...
Menu -> Settings -> Phone -> Time and date
Change the date and restart the phone.
Install Connectivity Analyzer.
Change the date to the current date and restart the phone.
Does this help?
Thanks Alex80386DX! :)
There is no need to restart the phone after changing the date. I set it year back, then installed Connectivity Analyzer, then changed date to current. Everything works fine!
This is one of the best Nokia applications. And it still works great on Belle.
Thanks to markow76 and mjtasa for helping with the updated Connectivity Analyzer. This is a very useful application, both with my home wireless network and in the office environment. I updated on my N8 with Symbian Anna and it is working fine. Hopefully also for Symbian Belle users.
Hi and thanks for the feedback!
I also set it back one year but the outcome is still the same. Certificate expired. It seems to be so that I can't use this application anymore which is shame.
Hi,
I was trying with date 1 day, 1 month and 1 year before 09/02/2012 and still get "Certificate expired". Maby NOKIA Beta Labs coudl put thi file again with new certificates?
On E7-00 Belle the workaround didn't help.
Tried it with 16.02.2011 & 16.08.2010, with restarts & online certificate check turned off.

Looks like I am lucky... :)
kordian1984: My settings are:
Menu -> Settings -> Installations -> Installation settings:
Software installation: All
Online certificate check: Off
Default web address: None
I have copied SIS file to phone memory and run installation from File Manager on the phone (with date set year back).
whats problm with NOKIA?
Is nokia going to finsh?
My nokia suite on pc now not working with my nokia c7-00.
Help me if you can..
I see most of you installed it from Nokia/Ovi Suite. Maybe that's the problem? I ran installation from phone. You can copy it to phone memory using USB, bluetooth, or send it by mail.
kordian1984: I checked in 'install log' and Connectivity Analyzer has date of installation 15-02-2011, just between two other installations with date 15-02-2012. :)
There is a hope. On other thread Nokia employee says: "I am sorry that the certificate was expired. Please be patient, I am working on this."

I'm so thoroughly sick of all this certificate nonsense. I'm tempted to set my phone date back a year and try to install it, but why should I have to?
Either Nokia should provide a way for the owner of a phone to get around this mess, or you should post software with a certificate that expires 100 years from now.
........Anyway, what next?
Small update.
By constantly playing around with the date on the phone, I was able to get the error message changed to something being wrong, but the expired certificate was only one of the possibilities. The error message implied the phone date was maybe set too far in the past. By constantly increasing the date, a little at a time, when it reached 06/07/2011 I got the application to install on one of my two N8 phones, the one that's still running Anna.
The phone I want to install it on is running Belle, and none of this fooled that phone into allowing the installation to proceed. No matter what I do on that phone, I always get "expired certificate". Bummer.
It's so &^%$#@$%^ frustrating!!!! This "expletive deleted" certificate nonsense is so stupid. It's ***MY*** phone, and if I want to install old software, even if it might mess up the phone, that should be ***my*** choice. Having a warning should be all that is required from Nokia. ...and last time I checked, I'm sure I selected the option on the phone to ignore certificate errors!!! Grrrrr....
