Can't you add an accelerometer recalibration setting in the diagnostic tools?
Many 5800XM users spotted their phones accelerometers are a bit off to the right and need a recalibration to be re-centered.

You can test this problem with free apps from Ovi Store like "Labyrinth Lite" and "Spirit level".
