I have to say that this is great for taking photos of offsite jobs. All the fleet mobiles have this installed. It is so good for staff who are not skillful with technology. We just ask them to take a photo and then we have a photo of the worksite here in the office! It means no fiddling with MMS, or email, or clicking the share online button, which means we get 100% of the photos taken coming to us hassle free. Nice work. Love the application

Nokia Image Exchange is a welcome upgrade for the "gallery" which is annoyingly slow on the N82. The Image Exchange app is much faster and has a "cool" image rotate feature (picture is shown correctly regardless how you turn the phone) and for the most part it works much faster than the old gallery app (there are still some very annoying completely unresponsive moments - which could be due to other software on my phone). I love the fact that I can back up my photos directly to the web, without having to wait for Bluetooth transfer, which is a tethering nightmare on a dual-boot computer. It is now possible to completely ditch PC suite and run Ubuntu full time :) I have had a few issues with images not being backed up after changing the connection. After a phone restart the backup worked again. Speaking of connection, I find it a very nice feature to have primary and secondary access points. Personally I would have preferred these options to be controlled by the OS rather than each app, but I guess in this case with data heavy backup it is a nice way to prevent the app from uploading via 3g, with the potential risk of an expensive phone bill. Keep up the good work Nokia!

I have given ImEx several attempts and I think this time I am binning it for good. The idea is great, however the content is in a single stream and swings between bizarre to pointless (screenshots of menus, CD covers, bollywood stars!) I share interesting pictures that I have taken myself, however whenever a picture of my wife is posted it is immediately hit with comments from the flatterin (pretty) to the rude (Nice Tits) to the downright crude (get them out, what size are they?). Salt into the wound, these perfectly tame images have now been tagged as offensive and removed! In conclusion unless the system is radically overhauled with stream tagging, control over copyright spam and other improvements ImEx truly is doomed to fail. I for one can't be bothered anymore. For the 1 or 2 nice pictures there is an absolute deluge of nonsense rendering the system pointless and frustrating.

The image exchange is a nice little software. Very clean and very smooth running on the 6790. Although there are a few bugs which I reported in the bug report for the 6790. I think this program is a great add on to any Nokia device. It automatically uploads your images from your phone to the Exchange Server. The images are set to private and only you can access them. If you feel you want to publish the photo to the world. Then you can after selecting "publish" There is a feature to share the photos on facebook. It would be nice to have a facebook app which would automatically do that. The sign up process was a breeze. So far no other major problems with the program. The UI on the phone is very nice and easy to navigate.

A great idea and very well presented software (5800XM) however the preponderance of absolutely inane shares (multiple shots of the pakistani flag, soft porn, indian film stars), disrespectful users and comments and the apparent high drain on my phone battery means that I have shelved this until further updates appear. PROS: Fast and snappy software both for external and local images Fantastic sharing idea in principal CONS: No way to block bad sharers or commenters or even those that you have no interest in. Seems to drain battery life extremely rapidly.

I am really impressed with Image Exchange - I thought it would be just like Share on Ovi but it is so much better - especially as you can now sign in with your Nokia account and it shows your friends and who has posted images. This is absolutely brilliant guys - thank you and please as this is experimental do not stop the service its so good This should be built into FW's as soon as possible and marketted intensively to build awareness. One minor improvement would be when sharing to facebook - share the image rather than a link - but this is only minor. Also adding share options the obvious one being twitter would be good too. Well done - absolutely superb N97 mini RM-555 FW V10 N97 RM-507 FW V20 N900 V1.2009.42-11 N95 8Gb RM-421 V31.2.008 and too many more to mention in a signature + 21 other devices Http://www.twitter.com/sheridan01

I really enjoy the new S60v5 version with notifications. Overall the software and service have been reliable and enjoyable. I miss the scrolling "wall" of images from the S60v3 version, and find the touch based navigation to be a bit failure prone (swipe more then 50% of the screen, it scrolls by 2 images instead of one. not possible to scroll by more than 2 pictures). Overall this is a great first release. There is plenty more to do, but considering that this version also brought more than just a vanilla port of the old version to S60v5 it is still refreshing and great to have.

Instantly created an account for me. Uploaded all photos on my phone. And unlike lot of other applications, this one is VERY VERY FAST. Still haven't figured out how to add friends / contacts on the app itself.

I've been using this program since it came out, and i love it. The interface was a bit strange at first but i've come to love it. It has some quirks: i don't like that it upload every pick on my device at first run. This is kinda the same problem as with pc suite. It doesn't see difference between photos taken on the phone and downloaded. But that is about the only negative thing i have to say. Luckly the latest version of this program has fixed some of the qirks I pointed out. One of the things I've come to love with the IMEX is the public timeline flow of images where you can see snapshots made by other users instantly and comment on them somewhat one of the things that made flickr a success on the web so now I wonder why this truly unique program has not been upgraded to a beta app.. Nokia has a winner here with a lot of sticky feature that could create some buzz, right :)

I love the speed of this application. It blazes through hundreds of 5 megapixel images. It is way faster than the regular Gallery applicaton. I hope that the technology used in this is incorporated into the Gallery or that the gallery is replaced by this. I also enjoy the automatic uploading of all that images, that way I know I have at least one good backup. I would love to see this integrated with Ovi as it would make a great addition to the many wonderful Ovi services.

It would be cool that Nokia Image Exchange replace the default Photo browser and even the share. Nokia Image Exchange on S60v5 should give the choice to share on existing social network such as : - Facebook, - Flickr, - Picasa, - Orkut (for Brazilian and I think Indian people), These services should be works on the say way that the default share app work (just after taken a picture). Nokia develop interesting applications but we have some app duplicated ! It's sad PS : three applications may be redondant : - Nokia Image Exchange, - Nokia Photo Browser, - Nokia Default photo,

I have to say this seems does not seem like any other Nokia application, it's fast and responsive, does exactly what it says it will and as far as I can see only has 1 minor bug. With more of this kind of connected, fast and easy to use software Nokia could regain a lot of the respect it lost to other manufactures. I love the way it is so responsive on my N95, the orientation sensor doesn't work this well with any other application or the OS rotate function. also on opening this all the photos have thumbnails and will load instantly and zoom almost instantly. The design of the UI also seems very far ahead of most other Nokia application, very simple with transparent elements and small simple icons. Also fades/zooms in and out work very well. No loading bar in the whole application as far as I can tell. EXCELLENT. Make this do video as well and it should without a second though replace the standard "gallery" application which takes ages to load, has to then painfully load thumbnails then slowly load a photo then REALLY slowly zoom into a photo. No doubt this should replace it! Would recommend this to anyone who ever takes photos with their phone. The one minor bug is that it seems to ask for an access point all the time even though I have set a primary and secondary. I have to disconnect when I'm not using the program. Not big.

Nokia Imageexchange is a really nice looking app, finally symbian started to look sleek and serious. And I hope Nokia is going further with this simple design, I like it alot. I have a (regular) N95, and the phone is quietly passing its time. Newer phones are faster, but I dont like the touch software. It is still more a game than a serious thing. So, after installing the software first, it wouldnt uopload images, which is the first reason I installed software anyway. After uninstalling and istalling again, it didnt work. Some days after, maybe hours really, my Messages app went crazy. I couldnt get into my SMS inbox at all. Then a lot of other apps started to NOT open. I thought maybe I have outdated firmware, I checked, and I didnt. I reinstalled the phone anyway, backed up, lost some time to do it, and all of the programs were up and running. Then couple of days past and I realized I didnt install ImageExchange! So I did again, and you guess, my inbox was again blocked, along with other software. I deinstalled the ImageExchange and deleted its folders. And now everything works fine. I dont know... if U can help me I would be happy. But I fear this is just a very early beta that somehow screws up other programs... Shame it does, I really like the interface... and it is fast, I mean scrolling images in nokia regular gallery is just insanely slow. So Image Exchange is refreshingly fast. Please, finalize the app soon :)

The reason why I hate this app so much is that I have wanted to love it since its first beta! But they never added the feature that would seem logical to everyone. I don't freaking want it to be connected to the service all the time! WiFi is a battery killer incase you didn't know. And I am not comfortable with it uploading all my personal images online. I only want to upload the pics i want to share with my contacts or friends. They finally added the option to manually choose the pics you want to upload. But sadly, it doesn't work. I installed it on my N85 on which it wasn't already installed, and asked it to only upload the pics i choose for upload. But on opening the app, which doesn't happen every time, i found that all my pics already on the phone had been queued for upload! This isn't what i signed up for. That would still have been fine, had the app been stable. I can't understand how they managed to make it so buggy and unstable! It gives me failed start more often than proper starts. It lags, hangs and freezes. Its actually unusable. Sorry nokia, i hate this beta because i like this concept so much! Please make it work. Nokia N85 : FW 20.175 www.twitter.com/alsiladka
