This is a cool feature, I think we have it planned already.

Generally we would need a better favorite management, i.e. Rename, delete favorites. Kind you I am on a BlackBerry PlayBook. This issue may have already been resolved for other devices.

This will definitely be available on all devices. I cannot say at this point, how long it will take.

It would be also nice to categorize favorites into groups/file folders. Previous version of Ovi Maps allowed users to do this. For example I had my favorites and saved routes sorted by country. Why happened to this feature? Now I have to hunt through a long list to find what I am looking for.

We created the mobile maps from scratch so whatever features were/are in native Ovi/Nokia maps we need to create again.

Please stay tuned, we are working hard but we would like to release the most important features first.

Understood. What bothers me that the ability to categorize favorites into groups/file folders seems to have disappeared during the process the Ovi/Nokia maps evolved. It was a very useful feature for us who travel a lot and has favorites and routes saved in different locations/countries.

Is there any way you could pass this note/request/question on to the "map guys"?

or any specific mobile maps client (Symbian, N9 ... )

Yes, the desktop version. I did not think the feature was phone (OS) dependent.
It is a pain to go through all the saved locations AND ROUTES when you are looking for something specific!

Users should be able to break up the list of favorites into files i.e. by country. I can sort my favorite locations into files on my E71, but not routes.

You should expand the way to use folder favourites into all Nokia maps applications.
For example, on mobile, I would like a way to display only a specific collections of favourites (we can already make this choice for categories).

Indeed, When I use favourites for a specific purpose (eg: tourism), I would prefer hide all useless favourites from my map.

The same problem appears on Nokia Maps website where we can't even browser into collections (we only have a flat list :( )

Adding others way to sort them like distance (eg: autohide far away favourites from my position even I unzoom) is important.

As Google Maps having more features than before, Nokia maps need to quickly add new features and complete existing features to remain competitive!
