Hi Jos,
In the new Symbian framework, all of that useful stuff is moved to a higher level. We will avoid all of the old-style menus as much as possible and make access to those useful things more logical and useful.
When the Places app integrates favorites, you will be able to get to them more directly in the interface. Share will be available from the place detail.
In this menu in the future you will find things like About, Feedback, etc. These have to be in the application and this is the right place for them. The same is true of all of the apps we are developing now.
Having useful features in long options menus is a bit of pre-touch legacy that we are moving away from.
