''[285] Request could not be completed''

Nokia N97, symbian 5th, v. 21.2.045
at the beginnig i try to sing in in the accounts, but it says inmediatly ''[285] request could not be completed'', i cant sign in not even in my ovi account, i have broadband internet, and a 3G SIM card... What can i do?

Are you able to log into your Ovi and other IM accounts from the browser of your phone?

the solution seems to be, to use an APN without a proxy.
My Provider O2 Germany has 2 APNs: "Internet" with an proxy in advanced settings and "surfo2" without proxy.

Using the APN without proxy I get an connect to ovi. APN with proxy shows "request could not be completed"

EDIT: oh and of course, many provider only use APN with proxy. so you don't have a choice. so please make chat compatible with proxy in APN.

In india there are no service providers who do not have proxy servers. So i would request nokia beta labs to look into this matter and modify chat application so that it works equally well on proxy servers
