Ovi sync finally with N8 and Outlook 2010.

First I preferred PC-suite much more, than OVI-suite 2. But now I have I'am required to use OVI-suite. Now I use OVI-suite 3 beta, and that finally comes much much more closer to the FUNCTIONALITY of PC-suite.

+ much information and functionality on the home-screen, with respect to previous versions.

+ very easy to update all the navigation maps, because much road-work is going on in my area.

+ can sync calender of my N8 to Outlook 2010 64bit. No version (also PC-suite) could not do that.

- cannot choose which agenda to sync. On the N8 I've set a personal and a business agenda.

+ direct sync of contact with suite, but also to my ovi-account. My contact are always 'safe'.

+ the program seems to run faster

+ compared to PC-suite, OVI-suite doesn't open a new window for each function (such as 'messages', 'maps', etc.), but has just one window where you can do it all.

+ / - Lets you see directly the apps in Ovi-store, which makes it much more attractive to install interesting apps. Unfortunately, these App-blocks are only links to the Ovi-store. Love to see direct App installation.

- Doesn't have a sync button for sync'ing my music. Maybe Ovi-suite just doesn't show the button in my version, but I don't get it to work.

Hi goossens-mha, thanks for your positive feedback. Good that syncing works for you fine. We're investigating, if we could bring sync button for music in future releases of Nokia Ovi Suite.

Hi Saylinen, I like it to hear that a music-sync button is in investigation. But evenly important I think is the choice of which agenda to sync on the N8.

More detail: On the N8 I've 2 agenda's set; one business and one personal. At work I want to sync my outlook 2010 64bit exchange agenda with my business agenda on the N8. I don't want my private appointments to be sync'ed into my business exchange which is visible for everyone at work.

I saw this option (choosing agenda's to sync in my N8) in the latest official OVI-suite release, but that one didn't sync with outlook 2010 64bit I experienced. Therefore I tried this beta release.

Hi, goossens-mha, we're investigating, can we enable multicalendar sync with Symbian ^3 devices in future versions of Nokia Ovi Suite.

multicalendar syncing would make me give Nokia everlasting love!

I have 4 calenders; one for private, work, wife and lover (just kidding :P), but I have 4 calendars and it would be such a great feature if it was possible to sync just 2 of them instead of 1 :D
