Not sure what the security model is. But would be great if you could select to play albums directly from SkyDrive or facebook

Yes we have gotten this feedback, but currently we can only stream pictures that are saved on the device, both skydrive and facebook are downloaded as needed. If you select any of those pictures and save to the phone, they should show up under saved pictures folder in the application.
