Hi everybody, please forget all a wrote before. After 24 hours of waiting and fearing i interrupted the software re-installation on my Nokia 500 device. The screen stayed black, nothing happens, the device is dead – so i thought. Feeling the heartbeat on my throat i started one more try to connect my 500 and reinstall the software – and, what should i say, after a few seconds my smartphone restarted and worked as new! Great! Sure are there some more bugs you have to revise, but i think you are on a good way! Have a good success!

How expensive can it be to hire a small team of coders that come up with a solution for Macs? Oh, I forgot, this is the company that already left Romania for its high wages. Sorry to bug you, Nokia.

The app loops at "Checking updates available ..." and the "wheel" keeps spinning. There should come a reply either explaining status e.g. "No update available", "No reply from server" or "Lost connection".

Has never worked no matter how many times I try to reinstall it. It keeps stating my device is not supported...when the information says explicitly that it is. Nokia has never supported Mac users and I for one have had enough. I have been a loyal Nokia fan for 20 years but am finished because at this point the only good thing about Nokia phones is the famous durability. User experiences suck. Bye Nokia.

I have an old Nokia E51 which I am trying to use as a Wifi hotspot. I have identified the software I need to do this (and purchased it). When I try to download and install it simply crashes the browser - I have battled with this for hours. There are reports of the software (Joiku Premium) working on the E51 so I conclude that I must need to upgrade my firmware (which is pretty old, although I have no idea how to get the phone to tell me which version it is running). Your website suggests that I should be able to update the firmware from the phone itself, yet I am unable to work out how - I had forgotten just how incomprehensible the menu systems were on the E51. The experience I get from my device just doesn't match your instructions. I do not have access to a Window PC. I have tried to run Nokia Software Updater within Parallels under both Windows 7 and XP. Nokia PC suite works fine, yet NSU can't connect to the phone (via either bluetooth or USB; I understand that bluetooth probably isn't supported anyway). At last, I found NSU beta for the Mac and though I might finally be get somewhere - apparently the E51 is not supported. I spent days on this enterprise and I consider myself an IT expert - I have spent the last 10 years a systems architect for one of the world's largest mobile phone companies. Thankfully I now have an iPhone.

Does NOT work with my Macbook Pro, OS Lion and Nokia N8. It just freezes on the "checking updates" page and doesn't budge. Hopeless.

Hi Developers, I think it's not a good idea, as many other devices can be left out. In my case, I would like to updated the firmware of the C5-00. Unfortunately, my phone is not supported. Dear developers, there is still work to do! Dude

I upgraded my Nokia c6-01 from Symbian Anna to Belle with the software updater and everything worked fine. The process was much faster then the usual updates with the phone through the network. Just remember to back up your contacts etc. with Ovi Sync before upgrading since the phones memory is erased.

I installed Belle on NSU version 3.0.400 - and lost all my messages and music. Updater for PC let's you easy backup everything, so there won't be any surprises. Why can't we have this same thing on Mac? Very disappointed.

Hi Nokia N9 is not detected. It detects it as Nokia NoRM6. Device Software Version Unknown. Software updater for windows detects the Nokia N9 fine. When will the Nokia N9 PR 1.2 update be available in NZ via software update? Thanks, Patrick
