Import cycle route GPX files to Nokia maps

2010-02-04 @ 15:13 by jonathansc
Hi,
It would be really useful if you could plan your cycle journey using a service such as http://www.transportdirect.info/Web2/JourneyPlanning/FindCycleInput.aspx - then take the output GPX file and load into your Nokia maps so you could follow the route

+1 for this idea!
Or for example be able to use http://ridewithgps.com/ to import same or TCX files.
Either that or be able to plan routes in Ovimaps with the same ease of being able to move the lines around from street to street (also seen with Google maps) to plan the route.

+1 very useful indeed!

Yeah, been doing this using the Ovi Maps web interface in the browser. But the problem is that my old Mac isn't supported in the Ovi Maps plugin... So I need to use my PC ;-)

But +1 for the GPX import (both through the web interface and Ovi Maps on the mobile!)

Actually, I found these instructions: http://forums.wireless.att.com/t5/Nokia/Importing-GPX-files-to-Nokie-e71...

I'm going to try these out now 8-)

@Mikkolaak How did it work out for you ? Any new insights ?

All I want is some turn-by-turn suggestions at crossroads from a self-planned route. (preferably designed on my big screen PC and not on my tiny screen phone)

This trial has ended!
