Nokia Betalabs

I was trying to search for a street name using the new Ovi Maps (v3.03 10wk01 b05) on my Nokia 5800 (firmware: v31.0.101) when the Maps app crashed and rebooted the phone. After it restarted all of my sms messages are now missing (inbox + sent items) however my email (Mail for Exchange) are all still there. The messages (sms) have been synced to my Windows 7 laptop using Ovi Suite (v2.1.0.87) and are all still in the app but not on the phone.

Any idea why this happened and how to get the sms's back on the phone? (a re-sync doesn't work)
