You will need to reinstall your Social 1.2.163 from http://nmota.messaging.nokia.com/clients/Social_1_2_update.sisx before upgrading to Social 1.3.
Tried the link to reinstall social 1.2.163 still the same error message unable to install.
Just tried again uninstall current social reboot, install 1.2.163
Still unable to install 1.2.163 or 1.3
Next solution?
(My current social app works fine just miss the widget)

@yakk You will need to perform backup -> hard reset -> restore -> reinstall to resolve this issue. Please report your results.
My self I have done a restore on the C7 and get same result, just an error that states unable to install
I followed all the sugetions still not able to install this app
just upgraded firmware to PR1.2
Still no joy with installation.

We take some comfort in that only 1-2% of those who downloaded the client have experienced the issue. Unfortunately, the root cause is in the platform code and cannot be fixed by the Social client team.
