Finding I'm getting capitalization on every word Swyped on my E7 , and with Gravity this still occurs even when Auto capitalization is turned off !! This didn't occur with the old version ! Anyone else with the same issue , or a solution ?

I think I have heard that issue before, on a previous version. Does this happen in any text-field?
If I'm not remembering wrong it was something with extended characters.
Are the text you are entering containing anything else than plain A-Z and normal punctuation? (like accentuated or national letters)

I had this problem, and also I found I couldn't add a comma after a word, could someone check and see if they have the same comma problem while capitalization is happening?

All words are capitalized in Coversation app (only in Portrait Mode)

I am getting the capitalisation again, and yes... I can't insert a comma whilst it is capitalising.

I've found a workaround:
If you turn your phone 90º left, a.k.a go to landscape mode (and wait little bit haha), and then return to portrait, the "Every Word Capitalized" bug disappears.

Mine seems to have settled down now and its working just fine - as can be seen in the text I'm Swyping right now! I just continued to use it in a few different apps and orientations and out came good...
The bug not only affects the first letter of each words. Also change the symbol inserted.
Examples: Swype "!", gets "¡", Swype "?", gets "-", and so on.
I have the issue only at Conversation view.
Maybe out of topic, but the "underlined word" (of Nokia Standard Keyboard) are still there, even using Swype. Sometime the little standard blob suggestion word still appears when typing when Swype.

If i go to messaging and start typing a new message, all the letters that I type come as the 1st letter capitalised. i.e. something like "I Am Trying To Type A New Message". Surprisingly I have seen this only in the messaging app while typing a new message.

I am still getting the issue in most apps, but not consistently , also getting crashes sometimes and after opening the app again Gravity, Messaging, mail etc swype will behave properly again ?

my swype 2.0 is still working perfectly now after not really doing anything to fix it - maybe just a few reboots over a couple of days and it settled down...?
but yes – when it was playing up it was intermittent/inconsistent – at one stage the problem persisted on fMobi but was working normally on Notes and Messaging.
also swyping comma->space gave a "?"
and full stop->space = !/
and every word Capitalised.
Does a removal and installation on C: fix the issue?

In several third party apps like WhatsAPP and Opera, swype capitalises the first letter of every word. It then usually crashes.
I'll post this in the right thread this time :)
I moved Swype to the C: and I still occasionally get the auto capitalization issue.
I'm not getting it very often now however.

I have a new Nokia N8. and have installed Swype Version 1.00 ( 19197) from Ovi. Capitalisation occurs on every word Swyped, in portrait mode after the bottom row right hand key is pressed( the one to get to Settings). This every word capitalisation also occurs in Landscape mode when the same key is pressed and used to get to Settings or just cancelled ( in Landscape Mose the key is on the bottom left.) This capitalisation of every word can be cancelled by moving to the phone to the other mode being used. Is this a bug or deliberate?
Continuation of last post. This seems to relate to how the message is addressed to the contact. As yet I am unsure how to do this, but if the Nokia "To (Tap to write) is used [which seems to disappear far to easily] to get the contact in before starting to write the text then this constant capitalisation seems to occur. If on the other hand the Swype screen only is used to do the contact "To" xxxxx xxxx, then the capitalisation problem does not occur> However, as yet I am struggling on how to get the Contact name correct so that "Invalid Contact name does not occur....when going to send the text. Advice on this would be appreciated.
Now running Swype for Symbian2 and solved most of the problems in previous post about usage. However, if the 'Contact' is entered after'To', before typing the message, the message always has capitalisation on every word. If the 'Contact' is added at the end of the message, it does not occur. The problem begins straight after the 'Contact' is entered, in the 'To' field. If this is done mid way through the message, the problem then starts. SO, at the moment to avoid the problem, the answer is to write the message first, and add the recipient after writing the message. You just need to ensure you begin the text entry on the first message line, by pressing return.

Yes! I've just tried that workaround and it fixes my problem until the screen is rotated again.
I hope to see this issue fixed soon. :)
I have seen it happen again with Skype 2.1 early on after installing.
I did the screen rotation thing and it seems fine now.
I found a solution for this bug.
Deactivate the Swype keyboard, use the regular one. Here deactivate text prediction/auto correction. Now reactive the Swype keyboard - and the bug is (at least for me) GONE. The same way I was able to reproduce it several times (activate prediction again, etc).
Using Symbian Belle (111.030.0607), lates Swype (2.01(4435)) with german dictonary (2.0.35432).

The first letter of a word is always big, although I deactivated this function in the settings. My device is a N8 and i installed the German language pack.

QT "are the root of all ..." well not "all evil", but at least "all sort of weird problems"...
The lacking backward compatibility gives a range of odd issues, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it also destroyed something here...

This was occuring with my N-8 recently but the suggestion by Nstelz of swithcing to regular keyboard and them reactivating Swype seems to have cleared the problem.
Strange indicator is that if the occurs, I found that aside from all words being capitalized, the current word was also underlined and using backspace key once deleted the whole current word.
It appears that Swype does not deactivate the full querty keyboard's background settings.
I have the same problem. Swype sometimes starts putting all word capitalized and underlined. Some buttons have wrong binding ("+" instead of "," or similar errors). If this happens Swype mostly crashes after some seconds and puts me back to the home screen. After opening the message again everything seems to work again for a while. Now I tried the hint from nstelz and deacivated word prediction in the regular keyboard. Hope it helps.
Update: Seems to work.
This, if I've understood right, happens to me an I'm not using Swype. When I switch to caps for a person's name for example in portrait using alphanumeric keypad it gets stuck in caps mode. This doesn't happen in landscape when it switches over to qwerty mode. Super annoying when toggling to caps for the word "I" and then having to uncaps to continue in lower case.
Device - Nokia 808 PureView with pre-installed Belle.
This happens in a few text fields with the current version: Usually, it's just the first word that's in all-caps, and that, too under heavy CPU load, usually.
Auto capitalisation back again, turning to landscape cures it, but opening anything in portrait on my phone, which I normally do, is a pain, results same in both native clients on phone and apps. Quite dissappointing really , this is on the 808 btw
I can confirm that auto-capitalization as described above is indeed back. Using Belle Refresh FP2 on 808.
I can confirm that auto-capitalization is happening too using Belle Refresh on N8... And when I try to erase the capitalized words, the app where I was typing, crashes
