January 11, 2013: Update from Swype
Hey there Symbian users. We've made a small patch for those of you who've experienced the timeout on S^3 and S60. Click that download link over there to find the update. We'll be watching the forums so reach out if you experience any problems. Thanks Symbian Swypers for all of your dedication, and I hope your Swyping finger isn't too lazy from the holiday feasting.
In the spirit of Symbian and 2013, we're giving away some Swype gear at www.facebook.com/swype. Head on over and try your luck :)
More to come!

December 4, 2012: Update from Swype
Hey all,
Initially, we had planned on providing an official release for Symbian. However, there are a couple of blocking issues which prevent us from releasing an official public release. The good news is that we are currently working with Nokia to get another version of the Swype Beta up for Symbian.
We will provide the Swype Beta as quickly as possible. Furthermore, we plan on continuing to improve the Swype Beta after we release this update. We will focus on resolving some of the common issues many of you had been seeing on more recent versions of Symbian in a future release.
Please note that it will take some time for us to release an updated version of the Swype Beta, and that we don’t have a clear timeline yet.
We thank you again for your patience and understanding.
November 27, 2012: Update from Nokia
We have heard reports that the Swype Beta application (version 2.1) is not functioning at the moment in Symbian-based devices. While we are investigating the issue, we recommend you to download the Swype version 1.0 from the Store. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Updates from Swype, July 11, 2011
Thanks to all of your feedback, we’re happy to release an update of Swype for Symbian. Over the last 8 weeks we’ve addressed all of the critical issues raised on Beta. We've also made some key improvements that should make the whole experience from download, to install, to uninstall much more enjoyable.
This will be our last release to Beta before graduating to the Ovi store, so test it out and let us know what you think about Swype 2.1 for Symbian.
Here’s a summary of the features and major changes in this new version:
- Complete overhaul to the install / uninstall experience. Install to C:, SD Card, Mass Memory, etc, without a problem. (We still recommend you install to C)
- Critical Settings crash has been fixed
- Official Belle support
- Thai and Vietnamese language support
- Many small bug fixes thanks to our Beta testers
