Hi Nigel.Waldron,

are you using Symbian 5 (like 5800) based mobile phone? Memory usage is bigger in older Symbian devices due the application needs qt libraries to work and those libraries needs to be installed into older Symbian phone.

I use the C6-00 so I assume it needs the qt libraries. I like the app a lot and have not had any problems besides this but find if it is running I cant go into ovi store or almost any other app.

Yes, C6-00 is a Symbian 5th device, so Kari's statement applies to your phone.

How about S3 device ( nokia E6)? Will it still eat huge ram?

Hi avi_jaunty,

in S^3 devices needed QT library had been preinstalled so memory consumption is less for Wellness Diary.

same problem for me too... using X6 s60v5.
wasnt there any way to optmise it.I luv this app and i'm using it to track for more than 400 days. i suggest if the application is minimized/hiden why cant u release memory and minimize ram usage. the application is intended to run always.

Hi Ktamilsln,

Wellness Diary uses QT library which needs to be uploaded in addition to any S60v5 devices. This causes some additional memory requirement for these devices. Because Symbian is real multitasking OS the application is run on background even when not active. If you are not using automatic step counter then you can close the application (without logout) when you don't need it to spare RAM for some other applications meanwhile.
